Today we’d like to introduce you to Annette Pearson.
Hi Annette, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a retired paralegal. During the pandemic I began a blog. A friend encouraged me to turn the blog into a book. My first book was Going Deeper in God’s Word. I believe that we all have a calling on our life. As we pursue our relationship with the Lord, our calling is revealed. Then I wrote a second book, Getting to the Root of the Matter. It’s about inner healing, seeds that have been planted in our life before we were even born and allowing God to heal them. My third book Momma Janie’s Wisdom is an interactive journal, with short stories of wisdom, reflections, scripture and prayers. From the 3rd book I designed a mug to go with the book and from there a full scale inspirational gift line began, Reflections 929.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I am a person of faith. Growing this business, stepping out into ministry and volunteering has stretched my faith. My desire is to put God’s Word in as many places as possible, in the least likeliest of places. It’s very rewarding to hear stories of how a gift that I designed or created made someone cry tears of joy. I have truly been blessed by the people God has placed in my life. My husband Aaron of over 42 years, our daughter is my best friend, Kristen Terry. I have two amazing grandaughters, Nubia and Justice and my favorite son in law, Ryan.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I own an Inspirational Gift line but I am also a minister of the gospel. I feel that I have been called to minister, mentor and connect with women. I am also a community Bible Study teacher. My desire is to teach God’s Word with understanding so that others will fall deeply in love with Him
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the people
I wish that we were more accepting of diversity
