Conversations with Arielle Karoub

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arielle Karoub

Hi Arielle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started out as a Life Coach and working with individuals to improve their lives and set goals. Through the process, I found that I needed more clinical skills to help my clients through their depression, anxiety, and life struggles. I decided to go back to school for clinical psychology and got licensed in NC as a psychotherapist.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’m the first one in my family to receive a college education. It’s been a struggle trying to juggle work and school. I had to work while being in school full time to pay my bills. I didn’t get any support from anyone, I had to do it all on my own.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m passionate in helping others. I got into the field of mental health to make a difference in other’s lives and to form meaningful relationships. My clients know that they can come to me for anything and how I will support them through their journey. I started out as a Life Coach and now I’m a Psychotherapist so I offer coaching but with a clinical edge. I specialize in a variety of treatments and a variety of diagnosis including anxiety, depression, mood disorder, ADHD, OCD, and trauma/PTSD. I strive to find approaches that my clients can grow from and I continuously find ways to educate myself, improve my skill sets, and to grow.

What does success mean to you?
I define success by seeing a difference in the lives that I’m around. Even a smile on their face is what makes me happy. I tell jokes a lot and I love to make others laugh. It’s about making memories and being present for the little things in life.
