Conversations with Edie Johnson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edie Johnson.

Hi Edie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have moved 14 times in the last 32 years with my husband’s company. This journey has given me the opportunity to work with many real estate agents on both the selling and buying sides of the transaction. I had always felt like buying/selling a home is the most stressful and vulnerable time through the process of moving. A real estate agent should always be able to listen and understand what is best for your family and guide you through the process.

I have had great real estate agents and I have had the worst of the worst. My last move was to Raleigh, NC. I decided with the nudging of my family that I could be that agent that listens to her clients and helped them through their home journey. My purpose is to listen to their needs, help guide them through the process, and above all make sure the process is all about them.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My road to being a real estate agent in North Carolina has been enlightening. Smooth roads, obstacles, and challenges come with each unique transaction. Each day is a true adventure. The most recent challenge in this market is the low inventory of homes for the number of people that are coming into the area.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a real estate agent that specializes in all aspects of buying and selling homes. This career has afforded me the pleasure of meeting and assisting clients that are moving to North Carolina or just moving across town. I focus is making my client’s needs number one. I just advise and they decide. The joy of my clients finding the right home and knowing that I was able to make it a great experience is the best feeling ever or helping my clients sell a home so they could start their journey in a new place is very rewarding.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Success is knowing. I listened to my clients and was able to give them what they wanted. Success is helping. Success is having integrity, being honest, trustworthy, problem solver, engaged, knowledgeable about the market, have attention to detail, and have tenacity.
