Today we’d like to introduce you to Myra Bradley. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Myra Bradley of Raleigh, NC is the owner & operator of Women That Care. This organization was birthed from the struggles that Myra experienced as a single mother and wanted to help pave the way for others so that they could have assistance and support during hard times.
A single mother of 3, who loves God and lives her life by Faith and not by sight has found joy in advocating for those in need. By assessing the needs of those in the community she has been blessed to turn her struggles and vision into service projects by bringing women of different backgrounds together to serve the community.
Myra’s background includes involvement and employment with various outreach organizations such as Catholic Parish Food Pantry, Wake County Human Services, Step Up Ministry, Southlight, Raleigh Rescue Mission, Alcoholism Treatment Center & Wheels 4 Hope. After 20+ years of service, God revealed her purpose and placed a vision upon her heart to create an organization of her own to make a difference in the community in which we live.
That ministry is known today as Women That Care. Along with Myra are 5 other ladies that are committed to this Ministry of blessing our community. Known as Ms. Myra in the community she is always available to support one’s situation.
Words To Live By: “Together we can make a difference in someone’s life.”
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Because Women That Care is small non-profit funding and donations have been quite of a struggle however we do have faithful donors that have been with us for the majority of the 10 years in business and have continuously supported our efforts to serve our community.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My life is based around serving the community and being a beacon of light for many that are facing life struggles. My professional life and personal life combined together have allowed me to walk with others in their darkest days to overcome barriers and obstacles in their life.
I am recently employed with The Catholic Diocese Of Raleigh as a Family Care Coordinator and have previously worked with employment programs, homeless shelters, assisting others with medical assistance and professional clothing. Along with operating my own 501(3} c Non-profit Organization.
I am most proud of the team that I work with to serve our community. The ladies have their own personal, professional, and family lives but their commitments to serve the community are outstanding. They never hesitate to help make a difference in someone’s life .and to see the passion they have for the community allows me to continue to grow our mission to serve.
The services from Women That Care never stop. We are always available to serve, to drop off donations. My personal phone number has been one of the community for many years so anytime anyone calls my number for services I will answer the call. That sets us apart from others, you will get an answer and you will always speak with a live person.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Trust god. Trust the process. Write your plan down and make it plain. Believe that all things are possible. Don’t give up.
