Today we’d like to introduce you to Necolle Winstead.
Hi Necolle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Whew! Where do I begin?
What started as a simple desire to create connection has grown into a purpose driven movement rooted in healing, advocacy, and community. My journey with Neco’s Niche was born from lived experiences, from witnessing pain in my community, navigating personal challenges, understanding trauma, and recognizing how many people silently carry burdens without safe spaces to release, heal, or simply feel seen.
I realized early on that so many women, families, and young people were surviving, but not truly healing. Mental health struggles, domestic violence, grief, broken communication, financial hardship, and emotional isolation was affecting my community every day, and so many people felt unheard or unsupported. I knew I wanted to be part of changing that narrative.
What brought me here today was not perfection, but it was perseverance and resiliency. It was learning how to turn pain into purpose and understanding that healing begins not only within us, but also through community, conversation, and connection. My background in mental health advocacy, domestic violence awareness, and youth mentorship showed me the importance of creating environments where people feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and empowered.
Through Neco’s Niche, I’ve been able to curate intentional spaces that encourage growth, healing, education, and transformation. Whether it’s through the Woman-to-Woman Tea Talk, Gather & Give, the wellness experiences, community outreach, mentorship, or service events, the mission has always remained the same: to build community one connection at a time and remind people they are not alone.
Everything I’ve experienced, every obstacle, every lesson, every moment of rebuilding has helped shape the heart behind this work. It taught me compassion. It taught me resilience. And most importantly, it taught me that people don’t just need resources; they need genuine connection and safe spaces where they can breathe, heal, and grow.
As I look toward the future, my vision is to continue expanding Neco’s Niche into a larger platform for wellness, advocacy, mentorship, and economic empowerment. I want to continue bridging gaps in our communities, collaborating with organizations that care about people, and creating experiences that leave people feeling restored, inspired, and equipped to move forward in life.
This journey has never just been about events for me. It’s about impact. It’s about legacy. It’s about making sure people know healing is possible, community still matters, and that even from our hardest seasons, something beautiful can grow. I just shared with a friend, that, we must go through what we go through t have a testimony on the other side so we can help the next person. I truly believe that.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey has not been an easy one. As I previously stated, we must go through something to get us on the other side. I have experienced loss in many forms. I am grateful that I was able to hold on to my vision and build community through it all. A worthy road traveled is never easy. You will experience bumps on the way, but the destination will keep you on track and once you arrive, it would have all been worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am most definitely a community connector and the founder of Neco’s Niche, a community centered platform rooted in connection, healing, advocacy, and intentional impact. My work focuses on creating safe, transformative spaces that bring people together through wellness, conversation, mentorship, and community engagement.
I specialize in mental health advocacy, domestic violence awareness, women’s empowerment, youth mentorship, and curating experiences that encourage healing and growth. Whether it’s through community wellness sessions, resource-driven events, service initiatives, or conversations that challenge stigma, my mission has always been to make people feel seen, heard, supported, and connected.
I’m widely known for creating meaningful experiences that go beyond aesthetics. From the annual “Woman-to-Woman Tea Talk” to community outreach efforts like Gather & Give, I’ve built platforms where people can have honest conversations about mental wellness, grief, relationships, purpose, communication, and self-worth while also connecting to real resources and community support.
What I’m most proud of is the fact that none of this started from a perfect place. It was born from lived experience and the desire to turn personal challenges into purpose. I never intended for many of these gatherings to become annual experiences, or to have them multiple times per year but once I saw how deeply people needed community, healing, and safe spaces, I knew I had to continue the work.
Watching the women that I interact with, the youth, families, and community members walk away feeling lighter, inspired, empowered, or simply less alone is one of my greatest accomplishments.
What sets me apart is my authenticity and intentionality. I don’t just host events; I create environments where transformation can happen. I lead with empathy, transparency, and lived experience, which allows people to trust the spaces I curate. I believe healing begins not only within us, but within community, and I strive to bridge gaps between conversation and action. I build sustainable relationships.
At the heart of everything I do is one mission: building stronger communities by creating spaces where people can connect, heal, grow, and rise together. Just that simple. It is bigger than me.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is being able to create spaces for my community that will ultimately help them on their journey and also enjoying my loved ones and living my life in a way that I can be proud of. I love theater, spending time with the ones I love and enjoying nature. Being grounded is vital and I love to contribute to growth.
