Hi Nhia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Hi, I am Nhia, a professional interior designer who expanded into fashion. I started out designing commercial spaces and then went to changing the interior spaces of residential homes. After the pandemic struck, I decided to explore other ways to make money to support my family. I began sewing to make home décor and fashion accessories to sell online. I then launched Royal Crafting where I can sell various accessories designed by me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I am an entrepreneur, so there are always obstacles. I must consistently think about the future and come up with a roadmap. I have never experienced a straight path. There are always curves, rocks, holes, and more. The key to overcoming the hurdles is not to quit and keep it moving. You must surround yourself with like-minded people, or those obstacles can cause you to quit.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in home décor and fashion accessories. I create designs and either engrave or laser cut the items in my design studio. I offer items from personalized charcuterie boards to dangling, colorful earring sets. I am satisfied to be able to go from designing large-scale commercial projects to scaling down to making impressive jewelry.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc.?
I am constantly following various designers who inspire me. I also read a lot of DIY blogs related to crafting and recipes on Pinterest.
