Conversations with Revivian “Lady V Poetry” Freeman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Revivian “Lady V Poetry” Freeman

Hi Revivian, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Lady V Poetry started writing at the age of 4. Growing up on the farm and having a vivid imagination allowed her to produce stories of granger. At the age of 12 she started writing poetry as a way to release frustration and anger after the passing of her only grandparent Rev. William J. Frazier.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to where she is today has not been smooth. Life is full of experiences and those can throw potholes and detours all about. Lady V Poetry understands that on top of life being what it is, she play a big part in the potholes by not fully believing and embracing her talents from the beginning.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Lady V Poetry is a spoken word artist originally from a small town called Swansea, SC and now lives in Charlotte, NC. She is a power house performer, an author, and business owner. On top of being a poet she also has a dedication to giving back to the community that she doesn’t talk about much. She says that this work is not about her, it is about the people.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that may surprise you about Lady V Poetry is that she is also an ordained minister. She said that her ministry is being with the people and showing them that God is in everyone, just sometimes God’s title is just different.
