Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherri Durbin.
Hi Sherri, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Consider It Done! is a boutique Raleigh area personal assistance company offering the very best in lifestyle management.
Hi! I’m Sherri. After living in Southern California for many years, in 2018 I decided I needed to live in a place with more trees and less traffic! After much soul searching, I chose Raleigh as having the perfect combination of weather, culture, and quality of life.
How Consider It Done! came to be: In June of 2004 I decided to start a company that would address the sheer lack of time that many busy Southern California professionals experience daily, and their desire to achieve work/life balance. Thus, Consider It Done! Concierge Service began.
In 2018, I made a huge life change and moved to North Carolina. In 2019, I strongly felt a calling to relaunch Consider It Done! to serve the Raleigh area, because I clearly saw the need for and lack of a local personal concierge service, especially as I saw the city becoming more urbanized as more and more people relocating here.
When I think of all the things our clients have to juggle, with most of it falling on the women, and the overwhelm caused by that list never quite being completed, I knew that Raleigh needed what we could provide, a true lifestyle management company with a focus on providing five-star customer service.
Along with assisting local professionals with home organizing, event assistance, meal prep, laundry, gift & grocery shopping, and endless errands, we work with top local realtors to get their clients unpacked, organized, and beautifully settled in. We actually specialize in whole house one-day unpacking. Sp relocation assistance is a large part of what our team excels at.
Our company mission is to stay personal, to stay local, and to continue focusing on providing customized service plans to suit all needs and budgets while maintaining our core values of efficiency, kindness, and integrity. We implement a zero-judgment approach with all of our clients.
Our growth has been absolutely phenomenal! We are now at just over 35 team members servicing the entire Triangle area, and in just 2 years in service, we are at nearly 100 five-star Google reviews.
Our goal is to help our clients focus on what is important in life: family time, friends, career, and self-care. By removing their daily to-do lists they can have the energy to enjoy all this beautiful city has to offer. We like to say that our superpower is making to-do lists disappear!
Next steps: Future plans include expanding our service to cater to some of the mid-size tech companies relocating to the Raleigh area. Many are seeking an innovative way to reward employees and encourage work/life balance. Consider It Done! Concierge Service will be there to meet that need.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I prefer to call them challenges rather than struggles. The two biggest challenges are managing explosive growth in a short amount of time while never deviating from our core values, and hiring an incredible team that can represent us well. Not everyone is cut out to be a concierge. It takes a lot of training and focus. But by paying a living wage and making the team feel as valued as the clients do, we don’t experience a lot of turnover.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are known for providing incredible customer service and really listening to our clients, then customizing our service accordingly. That may seem like an obvious way to conduct business, but in today’s busy world, our customers appreciate that we respond quickly, check-in often, and correct anything that needs to be adjusted in a timely manner. I am most proud of my incredible team and the joy they have in servicing our clients well.
