Conversations with Tracy Howard

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Howard.

Tracy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My mother had circulation issues when I was younger. She bought me self help books on reflexology and used me to do compressions on her feet after prolonged sitting. She saw a gift in me, that I later did not discover until my 30s. I went to school and currently hold a license in NC AND GA to practice massage therapy. It is my gift to share with the world. I named my mobile massage business In Gods Handz, LLC., because the truth is I am blessed to be able to share this gift with the world. I have connective tissue disease, tendonitis, inflammatory arthritis, and fibromyalgia. Those odds should be my challenge not to be able to work in this field, but it actually makes me great at what I do. I makes me understand the needs of my clients. I believe in what I’m selling. I receive massages monthly for my own upkeep.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Covid slowed my business. I am a full mobile massage business where I bring the services to your home. Covid caused a lot of therapist to back out of the profession. Keeping people dedicated to their self care as economy is draining everyone is the current biggest challenge right now. Continued access to my clients as my own joint and muscles progress. I would love to have a equipped mobile massage vehicle that I would park in the clients’ driveways or parking lots to deliver services for years to come.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have a energy that can be felt before I touch. I am high spirited. My Gift from God allows me to cater to the needs of everyone I touch. I specialize in Deep tissue, assisted stretch, oncology, special events, and injury recovery. I am most proud of dispite my constant pain, I am able to deliver touch and healing without a client knowing my own challenges. I have been told that my massages are Godly and I agree, without him I would be nothing in this field.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Never limit yourself. I see a younger generation of therapist that are being taught fear in helping others . Do not let challenges of the client stop you from finding a way to provide to them relief. ” A little goes a long way”
