Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Logan

Vanessa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My husband and I had weekly date nights, and each week we would explore a new restaurant in the Raleigh-Durham area. One random day I had the idea to make an instagram dedicated to my food posts because I felt like my friends were tired of seeing all my food pictures…lol. I posted often and had zero expectations…but over time my page grew. I discovered I was pretty good at food photography and loved sharing my experiences with others. My page eventually opened my eyes to the huge community of local bloggers in the area, and I loved meeting people with the same passion and love for Raleigh (and food) that I had. It grew slowly and organically and years later I am just as passionate as I was when I randomly started my instagram with no goals or intentions aside from having an outlet to share my foodie adventures. Over the years I have made connections with the Raleigh restaurant community and have had the opportunity to support local businesses while supporting and promoting our lovely city.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Juggling Raleigh Food Crush and my 9 to 5 have been challenging at times. I am equally passionate about nursing, and when work gets busy, my page is often the first area to suffer. Inconsistency in social media can easily lead to a set back.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Although social media has transitioned to a video/reel dominated world, I feel my area of strength is still photography. I love the process of editing a photo and creating something more exciting and enticing.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My husband and daughter have always tagged along, waiting patiently to dig in as I collected my content. They are always willing to assist in whatever way I need to get the job done. Huge shout out to the
content creators I’ve met along the way have always been supportive and encouraging. It’s one big happy family!
