Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Guy.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started making soap in 2010 and chose a name, Sirius Soap that same year.
My daughters had eczema so I started researching what could sooth their inflammed skin. I found that tea tree essential oil is anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal. I made my 1st Tea Tree bar of soap and the beginning of my soap journey began. I decided my soap was going to be all natural, no parabens, no sulfates. I use only natural colorants like spirulina, turmeric and charcoal to color my soap. No ariticial fragrances only essential oils. Sirius Soap was in farmers markets and events in California before I moved to North Carolina 10 years ago. I moved here for a better life for my girls, Aminah and Akasha. Unfortunately, Aminah lost her life in November of 2024 to gun violence. It’s been really hard to stay motivated since she died. I still make/sell soap and plan to do some vending events in the future. I’ve done the Spring Daze Festival in Cary a couple times. I don’t have my own website. I sell Sirius Soap on ebay and at a store in Raleigh called Juiced!. I will never stop making Sirius Soap. It’s the only soap I use.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was challenging in the beginning when I moved to North Carolina. I feel like I broke Sirius Soaps momentum. But more and more people are becoming aware of what they use on their body. Sirius Soap is a great alternative to the soap that’s sold in stores with those unrecognizable ingredients.
Another struggle is overcoming the death of my daughter and using it to breath creativity back into my life as well as Sirius Soap.

Sirius Soap is known for being paraben/sulfate freee. It cleanses and hydrates skin naturally.
Who doesn’t want healthier skin with less of an environmental impact? Sirius Soap only uses essential oils which have anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties.
