Daily Inspiration: Meet Beatriz Negrin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beatriz Negrin.

Hi Beatriz, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in South Florida, where I was introduced to real estate at a young age. My family was in the business, so I naturally found myself drawn to it too. I got my license and started working with both buyers and sellers early on, following in their footsteps. But I also knew I wanted to build a strong foundation, so I went to college and earned an Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies.

While I was in school, I worked at a law firm that focused on real estate, probate, and estate planning. I had the opportunity to work with commercial developers on subdivision projects, which gave me a deeper understanding of the bigger picture in real estate. Wanting to grow even more, I took a role as a paralegal in another firm, handling the full scope of real estate transactions while finishing my Bachelor’s degree.

After moving to Raleigh, I worked in the Wake County District Attorney’s Office in the Special Victims Unit and also served as an interpreter. But no matter where my career took me, I always felt that real estate was where I truly belonged. So, I earned my North Carolina real estate license and returned to the profession with over a decade of experience and a deep knowledge of the legal and transactional side of real estate.

Now, I’m excited to bring that experience to the table to help my clients navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives. I’m also fluent in Spanish and love being able to connect with and support a diverse range of clients here in the Raleigh area.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road—but I think that’s true for anyone building a career . Early on, one of the biggest challenges was balancing work, school, and gaining hands-on experience in both real estate and the legal field. I was working full-time, going to school, and trying to soak up everything I could.

Moving to a new city and essentially starting over was another challenge. When I came to Raleigh, I had to rebuild my network from the ground up. It was intimidating at first, but it also pushed to make meaningful connections, and prove myself all over again.

There were also moments of self-doubt—especially switching between industries. However, ultimately, every twist and turn helped me become a better agent . Looking back, I wouldn’t trade the tough moments because they gave me the grit and perspective I rely on today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in relocations and new construction. My colleagues often joke that I should write a book someday because I always seem to end up with the most complicated deals—but somehow, they always work out. I’m also known for being able to sit down with clients and give them a clear, honest picture of how things are likely to play out. That ability to anticipate the process and set expectations has been a real asset in helping people feel confident and supported throughout their move.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’m a first-generation Cuban American—my family came to the U.S. on the Mariel boatlift with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They taught me the value of hard work and strong work ethic, lessons that have shaped who I am today.
