Hi Deanna , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a pastry chef and 18-time published author who turned a love for baking and storytelling into something even bigger. After years of whipping up sweet treats and writing books, I realized I had a real passion for sharing those experiences online—and helping others do the same. That’s what inspired me to launch two businesses: 4 Seasons Photography, where I capture mouthwatering food shots and more, and Ideal Exposure Social Media Management, where I help others grow their presence with strategy and style. It all started with flour, sugar, and a keyboard—and now it’s grown into something truly sweet.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As an entrepreneur, there are always bumps in the road! Finding and maintaining clients being the main bump. The key is perseverance!

My YouTube channel, Budget Baking Adventures, was created with one simple mission: to help people bake delicious treats without breaking the bank. As a pastry chef, I know baking can get expensive—but it doesn’t have to be. I started this channel to share easy, affordable recipes, baking tips, and fun ideas that anyone can try, no matter their budget. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned baker, my goal is to show that great baking doesn’t have to come with a high price tag.

I love the quaint charm of Wake Forest, NC. We live in a beautiful neighborhood.
Because so many people love it here, it is growing at a rapid pace and that causes increased traffic and a higher price tag on homes, gas, and groceries…these are things I could live without.
