Hi Janna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into weddings began long before I ever considered it a business. Growing up, I helped my mom with her company’s events and unknowingly fell in love with the art of thoughtful planning. Over the years, I found myself organizing events for previous employers and assisting family and friends with their most special celebrations. But it wasn’t until I planned my own wedding in 2016 that everything truly clicked. The spark was reignited, I found joy in the creativity, the logistics, and the emotion behind every decision. With over 12 years in customer service, I had always been passionate about taking care of people, but this felt different. It felt personal. That was the moment I knew it was time to create Janna Simone Weddings and Events.
I built this company to serve couples who value intentionality, beauty, and authenticity. My approach is refined yet warm, with a focus on timeless, romantic design that reflects each couple’s unique story. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, inclusivity isn’t a trend, it’s a core part of who I am. I believe every couple deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. For me, weddings are about more than just beautiful details, they’re about connection, love, and legacy. Today, I’m honored to walk alongside my couples as we bring their once-in-a-lifetime moments to life with grace, purpose, and joy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t always been smooth, but it’s been transformational. I’ve always seen myself as a natural leader, but stepping into entrepreneurship amplified that role in ways I couldn’t have predicted. Building a brand from the ground up forced me to lead not just projects, but people, vision, and legacy. It’s required me to show up with intention, even when I wasn’t sure if I was fully ready.
Some of the hardest parts have been internal; wrestling with imposter syndrome, doubting my vision, and wondering if I was truly equipped to do the work I felt called to. But those moments shaped me. They taught me how to lead with clarity, own my voice, and trust in the purpose behind my brand. The challenges haven’t broken me, they’ve built a deeper, more grounded version of the leader I’ve always been becoming.

I specialize in full-service wedding planning and design for couples who value intentionality, elegance, and emotional connection. My work is all about creating experiences that feel both elevated and deeply personal, where every detail is thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple’s unique love story. From the initial vision to the final send-off, I’m there to guide, advocate, and bring it all together with a sense of calm and purpose.
I’m best known for my refined, romantic aesthetic paired with a warm and collaborative approach. My clients often say they feel seen and supported from day one because I don’t just plan weddings, I build relationships. I’m especially proud of how I’ve built an inclusive brand that celebrates all love, while maintaining a luxury standard that never sacrifices authenticity. As a proud LGBTQ+ business owner, I’m intentional about creating a safe space where every couple feels like they belong.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend structure with soul. I bring over a decade of customer experience into this work, which means I’m not only obsessed with beautiful design I care deeply about how my clients feel through every step of the process. That emotional awareness, paired with strong systems and a design-forward eye, allows me to create weddings that are not only timeless, but truly unforgettable.
Any big plans?
I’m currently in an exciting season of growth and transformation. This year marks a new chapter as I prepare to unveil a full rebrand of Janna Simone Weddings and Events, including a refreshed visual identity, a redesigned website, and elevated service offerings that reflect the level of detail and care my clients have come to expect. It’s more than a new look, it’s a deeper alignment with the kind of work I truly want to do.
Looking ahead, I’m focused on serving couples with larger-scale, design-forward weddings who value beauty, authenticity, and intentional planning. I’m also looking forward to expanding my creative partnerships, and finding new ways to connect with couples who feel aligned with my values and aesthetic. Growth, for me, isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing the right things with even more clarity, excellence, and heart.
