Daily Inspiration: Meet Jordan Jarmon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Jarmon.

Hi Jordan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Things started for me at a very early age. My father, DJ Kraze, and my brother, DJ Double J, sparked my interest in music and entertainment which allowed me the chance of getting started just as I was beginning middle school (2010).

Knowing right then that this would be something I would want to do for the rest of my life, I quickly began thinking of ways to build bigger than just me. With help from my local influencers, 2017 began the start of SHOWOUT Entertainment later developing into an LLC in 2019 with a new meaning of “Self Made Hustlers Out Working Others Using Talent.”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believed it was going to be a smooth ride but then life hit me in middle school. I quickly had to realize that nothing in this world is given and everything you get your going to have to fight for it. From numerous bad deals of me not getting paid, having to leave my equipment as collateral, paying out my pocket, and going broke for events, are all things that made me who I am today.

We all say that we would go back and do this differently and while I do have those thoughts, I believe that without those bad decisions I wouldn’t become who I am with the wisdom I gained from it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a disc jockey more commonly known as a DJ. I specialize in diverse and wedding events with an open format style to my craft. I’ve been doing this now for over 10 years and the skills continue to get better and the knowledge continues to grow. Something I’m proud about is that I am a sponge and a student of this game, I am always looking for ways to improve and get better.

What matters most to you?
Integrity because if you don’t stand on your own word or hold any value then why do business? We all want to look out for ourselves at the end of the day but we need to also hold a standard for ourselves and stand on it.
