Today we’d like to introduce you to Juliana Marie.
Hi Juliana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi my name is Juliana Marie and I am a 23-year-old porn star born and raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina now living in Greensboro, North Carolina. I have been in the industry for about four years now. I got into the industry whenever I was younger 18 years old and had no idea what I was doing. I had no connections to anyone. I just knew that I was going through a hard time and was looking for the easy way out. I quickly learned that being a porn star is more work than a 9 to 5 regular job! The first 2 1/2 three years I started in this industry. I did not really take it serious and give it my full effort. I was self Booking and traveling all the time without getting paid. trying my best to make any connection I could. overtime whenever you are meeting people, you learn things you ask questions and they introduce you to their friends and even more people. it’s all about patience and communication. very quickly, I learned what the industry was about and started making the connections that were needed to be successful. In August of last year I signed with my first agency. One month after that, I signed with my second Modeling Agency. it really wasn’t until then that things got real and I started taking it way more seriously. The difference in the amount of time it took me to get successful in the mainstream industry, went very quickly once I started applying myself and putting in all the hard work and effort that was needed for me this whole time. I have learned a lot about the industry along this journey I could’ve became more successful quicker, just signing with an agency from the get-go but I wasn’t aware of that and also I wouldn’t take it back because I wouldn’t have all of the knowledge that I have now
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I will say it is very challenging getting started not knowing any connections whatsoever. people are very two-faced in this industry and just want to use you up so it takes somebody very strong minded to get as far as I have and to deal with all of the backlash of Content Creator’s trying to make you fail people just using you for their own benefit. it is especially hard to get yourself established as a reliable name that people can trust to send deposits to for Paid Shoots. I will also say one of my biggest obstacles has believe it or not has been living in North Carolina. it is hard to do mainstream porn when living in such a state so far away from the main scene. This is why I will be moving to Las Vegas in January. The amount of traveling that I had to do the amount of flights I have missed traveling back to back and money that has went down. It can be draining & very stressful and honestly just sucks but obviously in the long run it is paid off and sometimes not all investments are good investments, but you learn that along the way. it has not been easy in the slightest, but it has been fully worth my devotion to succeeding.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I just want to say that I think a lot of normal civilians don’t understand what it’s like and all the hard work that goes into becoming a pornstar. The fact that I did start not knowing anything has helped me understand both sides and be able to look in like an outsider. after all, I did start this job to take “the easy way out “. but this is a full-time job and the work is never done. there is always something you can be doing and no days off unless I forced myself. i’ve put all of my time, hard work and energy for years just to reach the small level I have achieved of status. it’s not all unicorns and rainbows. There is a lot of hard work and time sacrificed to make this dream a reality for me
