Hi Kerri, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi! I’m Kerri, an NC native and stylist of 10 years. After spending four years traveling the Pacific Northwest immersing myself in holistic health, herbal medicine, and the importance of how ingredients affect the body, I’m passionate about bringing that knowledge home to Albemarle.
As an advocate for the natural beauty and health of the body and soul, I make it a priority for my clients to leave feeling rejuvenated. As a fellow natural curly-haired woman, I not only offer specialty services geared toward enhancing your hair’s natural form, but I’m also deeply passionate about teaching others how to care for and truly love their curls.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has been challenging, but every step has shaped the welcoming, uplifting space I’ve worked to create. After experiencing environments that didn’t support natural products, peaceful environments or invest in the well-being of their clients, When I received a call that a lovely hairstylist in our community for over 50 years was retiring, I felt called to build a salon home that embodies all I have learned and stand for. Giving my vision life, my husband worked diligently on remodeling our 1960’s salon space, creating a clean and new personality while maintaining the character from the mid century—a place to relax, unwind, and find calm.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Aside from my knowledge and reputation as a clean hair-care expert and curly cut specialist, I’m known for my caring, kind energy and my passion for quality salon services. As a mom to 3, I also work hard at creating an environment that people of every age feel welcomed and cared for. I’m incredibly proud that in just 1.5 years, our salon has become known for top-tier services and trusted results. With all 5-star reviews, we’re quickly becoming one of the most highly ranked and recommended salons in town—a place people can come to and trust that their service will be done right, and where they will always be seen, heard, and welcomed.

After knowing and being friends with Lauren for a few years,I knew when I opened my space I would need to have her join the salon. I brought her aboard and immersed her in the clean beauty industry. She has been by my side, helping grow and shape the business into what it is today. Lauren specializes in lived-in blonde color, bridal styling, and custom clean spray tanning—bringing her own artistry and passion to the team.
More recently, I trained and welcomed Kaitlyn to the salon. She stepped up with so much heart and reliability during my maternity leave, and she has continued to grow and evolve into a talented hair-care specialist in her own right. I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built and the shared commitment we bring to creating a beautiful, clean, and trusted salon experience.
