Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimyata Bryant.

Hi Kimyata, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My story is simple.

I love t-shirts with graphics and t-shirts with different sayings on them. But I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on them. So I started researching how to make t-shirts, where to purchase blank tees, and what other materials and machines I would need.

So for months, I watched YouTube videos and asked friends that have apparel businesses where they order their blanks from. Once I gathered all the knowledge I needed, I moved forward with purchasing all equipment and materials.

I also had to come up with a name. I had a business name for photography/videography but need a name for my apparel business. So YMG Apparel & Custom Designs was birth from my thoughts and prayers.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road.

And it still isn’t smooth. Business can be very slow. I’m still trying to get my name out there to get more business. I use all avenues I’m given and I’m always searching for other ways to bring more business to YMG!!!!!

So no way is the road smooth. Right now it is rocky but with much prayer, I know things will be smooth soon.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m proud of the simple fact that I started my own business. That took a big leap of faith and a lot of my finances but it will all pay off.

I specialize in custom t-shirt orders. What sets me apart I stay honest with my clients.

If it’s something I can do I let them know, but if it’s something I can’t do I make sure I’m honest with them before they place an order.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m an introvert. Love being by myself even though I have friends and family that I love spending time with. But if asked where I’d rather be it would be home, chilling by myself.
