Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Lankshear

Hi Lauren, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My family and I started Farmhouse Nutrition in February 2023 in Bunn, North Carolina. Before opening the club, I spent over 10 years working with the same emergency medical company. As things started changing within that company, I was also on my own health journey with Herbalife, seeing great results and helping others do the same.

Over time, more and more people started asking when I was going to open a nutrition club in our community—somewhere local where they could grab a healthy option without having to travel far. After talking it over with my husband and deciding it was the right move for our family, we took the leap and opened Farmhouse Nutrition together, involving our three children in the journey as well.

Now, nearly two years later, we’re so proud of what we’ve built. The support from our community has been incredible, and we love being able to provide a space where people can find healthier choices, build connections, and feel their best. We’re excited to continue growing and serving Bunn for years to come!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overall, the road has been smooth, and a big part of that is because of the ability to duplicate within our company. Several members of my team also have brick-and-mortar locations, so whenever we need guidance or support, we always have someone to turn to who has been through similar experiences. That kind of mentorship and collaboration has made the process much easier.

Beyond that, my family and close friends have been incredibly supportive, which has made a huge difference in starting and growing the business. Of course, there have been a few bumps along the way—one of the biggest challenges has been understanding the irregularities in foot traffic and learning how to adapt to those patterns. Another challenge has been staying on top of what’s relevant and current in terms of customer preferences and trends. But having a strong support system and a network of experienced business owners has made navigating those challenges much more manageable.

As a hometown business in Bunn, I take pride in creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere where customers—many of whom are friends, family, and neighbors—feel at home. We represent a company that offers the #1 meal replacement shake in the world, and I’m grateful to bring this healthy option to our community. When people walk through our doors, I want them to feel confident that they’re making a great choice for their health while also being part of something special—a place where nutrition meets community.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I wouldn’t necessarily call it luck, but I do believe that prayers, guidance from the Lord, and a commitment to hard work have played a huge role in my business. Opportunities have come my way, but it’s been through dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to serve my community that I’ve been able to make the most of them. I believe that when you put in the effort, stay faithful, and stay open to learning and growing, good things happen—whether you call that luck or something greater.
