Daily Inspiration: Meet Leah Mancini

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Mancini.

Hi Leah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My lifelong love of fashion started at an early age fueled by my passion for creating and designing. I was taught by my dear aunt that with a little bit of creativity and a lot of hard work, sewing my own designs was a possibility. After working for over 15 years as an Executive Assistant and having my first child, I left my career behind to begin a new one – as the owner and designer behind Leluna Star. With the support of her husband and family, I create custom, one-of-a-kind items as well as unique items for children that foster creativity and spark the imagination.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Every big adventure in life comes with its own challenges. As a work from home mother, one of my biggest challenges was finding the time for all the creative ideas that I came up with. Balancing work with other responsibilities is a challenge for most people and it was for me as well. In addition, navigating craft fairs, social media and my own website was something very new to me.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I now enjoy creating a range of products with a focus on imaginative play and encouraging creativity for the young and young at heart. My newest venture is my Leluna Loveable line: one-of-a-kind dolls that can be customized by my clients to create something that will be loved and adored for ages.

I create all my products from scratch…whether it is my dress-up items like crowns and wands or dress-up masks…to keychains and embroidered art pieces.
