Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Hudson-Durham.

Hi Lisa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Love Your Body Inc was founded in 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. During a time when many people were forced to adapt to strict social distancing guidelines, quarantined and faced with limited access to high-quality products due to the wrath of the pandemic, the LYB team was busy testing products & fragrances, meeting with local suppliers and creating a brand that promises to set a new standard for self-care. We believe there is an unmet need for natural plant-based skin care products and fragrant, non-toxic hand-poured soy candles. Although the risks were extremely high, we took a chance to meet this need and to ensure that high-quality products were available to our customers worldwide.

Our doors opened in November 2020, and we have not once looked back!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has indeed been paved with uncertainty as we strive to build the Love Your Body brand. We offer a unique variety of hand-poured soy candles in over 25 luxury fragrances. Our candles are available in biodegradable and reusable tins as well as refillable robust glass vessels. Our skincare line is catered to both women and men and includes the perfect trifecta of body wash, body butter and body spray is derived from organic plant-based ingredients, free of toxins and other unsafe material. Our greatest challenge has been building awareness of the brand as we opened in the midst of a pandemic. Once customers find us and try us, they tend to love us!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Lisa Hudson-Durham is a North Carolina native, mother of two lovely daughters and holds an MBA in Marketing. She is a seasoned business development executive. Her career has been focused primarily on research and development in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 15 years. She has also been successful developing new business in a variety of innovative technology sectors. Lisa’s faith and positive spirit sets her apart from others as she firmly believes that all things are possible with God. In the midst of a pandemic, she trusted her faith and worked tirelessly with the LYB team to establish a new brand of lifestyle-enhancing products to serve the needs of her customers worldwide who are seeking natural and uplifting products and fragrances to enhance their self-care routine. LYB’s motto is Live, Laugh, Love which embodies Lisa’s approach to life!
