Today we’d like to introduce you to Moriah Williams.
Hi Moriah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I always knew I wanted to be an actress. I used to watch movies and TV shows and copy the scenes that stuck out to me. My first performance was in the first grade in my school play. I think from that moment, I knew this is what I want to do forever. I auditioned for as many plays as I could, short films, student films; you name it. Anything I could to get experience and just to do what I love.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I won’t say it’s been an easy road, but it hasn’t been a hard road either. I’ve been blessed to be in films that have debuted in movie theaters, I’ve traveled with people I love and care about doing plays around the country, I have two shows streaming on G-Davis TV right now. I have been extremely blessed. However, it does get hard learning to balance being a new mother and homemaker, plus my career. I can say that has been my biggest challenge. Trying to chase my dream but make sure I am home every day to see my Family.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an actress/ content creator. I started acting very young, but I started my YouTube Vlog channel in 2018.
I would say I am most known for being an actress. Many people know me as Tracy Ada from the play Steal Away. Which is one of my longest-running plays.
What I think sets me apart from other people out here doing the same thing as me is the simple fact it’s me. I’m moving at my own speed, and I’m making my dreams happen for me my way. That’s what sets me apart. I’m truly just doing and being me and enjoying the journey.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is every year, my great great grandmother would have a birthday dinner/ cookout type thing to celebrate, and I always had my cousins and brothers and sisters put together some type of performance so we could perform in front of the whole family.
