Today we’d like to introduce you to Myron Davidson.
Hi Myron, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Myron Troy Davidson’s journey is shaped by service, resilience, and purpose. After living with diabetes for 34 years and spending followed by kidney failure in 2007. I spent four years on dialysis, my life changed through the gift of a kidney and pancreas transplant freeing me from diabetes and giving me a second chance at life. That experience fundamentally reshaped how I view time, leadership, and responsibility. Survival became more than endurance; it became a call to ensure my work had lasting meaning and measurable impact.
Professionally, I built a career in the fire service and emergency management, working across investigations, inspections, instruction, and community risk reduction. My lived experience with illness and recovery sharpened my focus on prevention, equity, and early intervention especially for children and families in crisis. This perspective directly formed my leadership in developing Youth Firesetter Prevention & Intervention efforts in North Carolina, where I blend data, behavioral insight, court awareness, and compassion to address youth fire misuse before it escalates into lifelong consequences.
Alongside this work, I embraced another calling:my voice. Encouraged for years by personal and professional peers who recognized its authority, clarity, and warmth, I pursued voice acting after my transplant building on experience in internet radio and professional voice coaching. This pursuit led to the creation of Voices by Myron and VoicesByMyron.com, where my voice is used as both a creative and educational tool to inform, reassure, and inspire. At the intersection of public safety, lived resilience, and communication, I use my second chance to lead with intention, speak with purpose, and help create a safer, more informed communities.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have medical challenges both personal and family. I am currently in need of a kidney after 19 years from the first transplant. It has not always been smooth.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
