Daily Inspiration: Meet Riana Zackery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Riana Zackery

Riana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Ririinthekitchen started back in 2021 in Douglasville, Georgia when I was expecting my daughter. I was selling cars at the time but needed a career where I could make my own schedule. I realized that it was the perfect opportunity to turn my passion into profit. I started off by meal prepping for friends, cooking for family & friends which started getting done social media traction. Eventually I finally got up the courage to start selling plates then it grew to accepting catering events then that grew to me being a hotel vendor then preferred vendor for venues and so on.
In January 2024 my husband and I uprooted our family to move to Raleigh, North Carolina which of course meant me moving the business also. I saw the incredible opportunity for me to provide a different spin on flavor to serve the NC communities. My commercial kitchen is located in Garner but I serve Rocky Mount, Garner, Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, Raleigh and more. I also travel for gigs as needed.
Ririinthekitchen serves weddings, bachelorette, bachelor parties, anniversaries, engagements, birthdays, repasses, baby showers, corporate events, private dinners, family meals and more.
We specialize in fusing different cultures while still offering comforting classics. We have a huge variety of cuisines to choose from to fit any event.
Carved Fruit Displays and grazing tables have been a huge hit with customers. We’ll also be offering floating Brunches, fruit trays and taco bars perfect for swimming pools (pool parties, girl time etc).

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Reaching customers was/is definitely something that takes a lot of work. Especially now that I’ve moved my business to North Carolina without knowing anyone here. It’s definitely a shot in the dark but moving on faith and trusting great success is coming in North Carolina and other travel opportunities.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We definitely stand out from others because of the side variety of cuisines that we offer. Chef RiRi cooks anything from Belizean, Jamaican, Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Indian, Greek, Italian, Nigerian and more.

Right now I’m just focused on establishing the business here in North Carolina and growth. Hoping to connect with venues and other professionals to offer catering services.
Hopefully growing the Ririinthekitchen team so that we can reach more people as we grow.
