Daily Inspiration: Meet Stefanie Keller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefanie Keller. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Stefanie Keller

We began as a mobile yoga studio in 2020. Owners Jason and Stefanie Keller are avid travelers and took their business on the road and all over the world. Gathering all the knowledge of natural healing methods, stress reduction, etc… We opened Wolf Moon Salt Cave & Stress Reduction Center in July 2022. After experiencing the healing benefits of salt therapy, yoga, massage, and energy work, we wanted to bring holistic and alternative healing back to our small hometown of Lenoir, NC.

Our business features a group Himalayan Salt Cave, a private salt room, a gorgeous yoga studio, massage therapy, sound bowl therapy, energy work, as well as a full aesthetics suite.

We have been well received in Lenoir and have been blessed by the outpour of love and support from local clients and tourists alike.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There is nothing smooth about opening and owning your own business. We did a lot of the construction ourselves while continuing to work our former full-time jobs, Jason as an automations engineer and Stefanie as a librarian. We would work until 5 pm, come to Wolf Moon and construct until 11 pm, and wake back up early the next morning to do it all again.

There were deadlines and delays with construction and mounding costly hours and expenses too.

Then there was the struggle of understanding our client load and how busy we were going to be. When we first had this idea, we thought it would begin slowly, but that was not the case. We have been on “fire” and had to hire more help quite early on in the process.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a healing center that focuses on reducing stress for our clients. We are known best for the relaxing atmosphere that we provide our clients. We have left the corporate world in search for peace and grounding in our own lives and want to share that with others. We are most proud of opening a unique business model that allows our clients to experience multiple modalities of the healing process. There is nothing like us locally or regionally. Sure, there are salt caves, but we offer a yoga studio with every level of class that you can think of. We also have aesthetic services that work only naturally to heal/improve the skin. Massage therapy provides not only relaxation but total healing in the body. We have certified energy healers that take the time to familiarize themselves with their clients so that they can provide healing where it is needed.

Also, although our salt cave is man-made, it is a “live” cave. The salt continues to grow on the floor, walls, ceiling, etc. We provide both wet and dry salt therapy combining for the most powerful healing experience for our clients.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Salt therapy is a growing industry that is expanding into the United States. I see salt room additions being added to small towns all across the nation. In the next 5-10 years, I imagine salt therapy will be seen as a more common healing method, and people will turn to this for healing their bodies.

I see the popularity of stress reduction centers as well considering the amount of people that are stressed in our modern-day society. We are a unique business model, and I have yet to find another like us. I imagine that once people see how successful our business is and how well it is thriving, then we will inspire others to open natural healing centers around the world.
