Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephen Turk

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey with photography and videography began with music. I initially purchased a camera to help build more content around the music I was creating to help with the budget cost of videos. What began as a budget cut later became a passion and a talent that I didn’t know existed. My camera allowed me to be introduced to another side of music, networking, and business opportunities; before you knew it I was being inquired for services. Its now has been a little under 10 years of me learning and perfecting my craft and skill with in this artistry.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With in this business it’s not always smooth. It takes discipline, a keen eye, and dedication. I have to every week or month brush up on new skills or new tech to help incorporate the growing demand for my services. I can oddly say that because of my creativity I haven’t many struggles but learning curves that have helped me to be prepared for anything that could possibly go wrong. They biggest goal is to make the client feel as its is smooth sailing while masking the struggles… which makes the perfect art at times and always the best customer service.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My business Cynosure Designed is a media based business which provides photography, videography, music (recording/engeering) under one unique umbrella. Being known for creative, sharp, and bold imagery and sound. Having all the key components under one roof to help bring ideas and dreams to life. During this journey my most proud moment was having LeToya Luckett, from Destiny Child, be apart of a shoot for a client. The moment happened by chance but introduced me to the idea of going in a different and broader direction. In the world of media what allows me to stand out has been my willingness to always step out of my comfort zone to create captivating images or film; pushing the limits of what is ideal in todays world of media.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I love working with new clients and I look forward to being able to service throughout the state of NC. I plan on expanding to bring my creative ideas to other states so please don’t hesitate to contact me for a service.
