Today we’d like to introduce you to Tawana Rice.
Hi Tawana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I learned my passion for Real Estate during early 2000s while living in Atlanta GA. My children were very young and we were new to the area. I grew a knack for the beautiful home design, floor plans, features, and custom builds the area holds. My passion for helping others has always been of my character. What A COMBINATION! I can naturally help others and explore the many facets real estate offers. So natural that it feels so good! I am in my purpose!
I wasn’t able to cultivate my dream until my children were older. It was my husband’s career change which led me opportunity to attend real estate school. Prior to the time, as opportunity grew near, many would come to me and tell me how great of a Realtor I would be. I knew it was meant and this was my confirmation to begin now.
Upon licensing, I gave 150% effort towards becoming successful. I woke each morning in expectation. I used my career experience in sales and marketing to extend my service to all I knew and met. I gave personable service. Ensuring to find the need of every client and showing how thankful I was to have their business. I custom-tailored my service to meet their schedules and provided extensive research for properties and areas of interest. I was expedient, diligent, and hardworking while creating a fun experience for all. My clients began sharing great experiences and outstanding reviews that increased my business from level to level each year. I handled all levels of real estate.
I grew to top 15% national ranking within Berkshire Hathaway my 2nd year of Real Estate. Top 10% ranked my 4th year and current. I’ve also expanded to cover (3) metro areas and affiliate with (3) Realtor Associations: Raleigh Triangle, Charlotte Metro, Winston-Salem Triad. I saw the need and these are my favorite cities!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There was difficulty along the way for sure such as understanding market changes and how to keep on top. Learning that each home purchased or sold brings different opportunities and solutions. There are many dynamics and challenges. They are never the same. There’s always something new to learn in Real Estate which involves the field. Always constant room for growth. Other challenges were time management while juggling multiple cities, family, deadlines, and ensuring successful experiences for your clients. It keeps you alert and often searching for ways to work smarter.
There are many components for getting a property to the closing table which could pose challenges. This can include appraisals, lending, inspections, repairs, operating by deadline. However, there’s a solution for every challenge and that’s exactly what I work towards. Finding the solution and implementing it. It’s made in stronger and more valuable to my clients.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an experienced Realtor of 5 years effective September 2021. I assist families, church organizations, investors, and groups with home purchasing and selling. My specialty are first-time homebuyers, new construction, investment properties, relocations, existing homes, land, custom build, and more! I extend services to all purchase/sell price points and levels of client.
I am most proud of my client reviews and recognition received. It shows me that hard work has paid off. Witnessing my clients’ smiling faces and zeal on Closing Day is priceless. How they share their experiences and what prompted their need to call me for help; knowing that their home search or sold ended in a very pleasurable experience with goal completed within timeline. This has built my success of referrals and repeat business. My business volume has grown in number organically over the years. I love leaving them with a gift for great memory about their real estate experience.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
Including God in everything I do and putting him first has helped me perform at my best. He’s taught me my purpose, strengths, creativity and has helped me through difficult challenges. Spiritual leaders such as Jesse Duplantis, Creflo Dollar, and Kenneth Copeland are who I listen to often.
Mark 9:23 – If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believes.
I also love Sara Blakely, CEO of Spanx. Here story of building her brand shares similar qualities as mine. I love reading her encouraging post on LinkedIn. She’s amazing!

We are currently working with Tawana on relocating to the Charlotte area. I can say she has been the most thorough and joyful realtor we’ve ever employed. My husband and I have moved 7 times and this search for a new home has been the most informative we’ve ever experienced even during this hectic year of real estate. She is always prepared with loads of information and has quite a knack for spotting every small issue about a home. She also has a creative side that lends to wonderful suggestions of future decorating or even remodeling of a home. She gives her all which includes her heart, talent, laughter, and the biggest beautiful smile. She’s fabulous!
