Daily Inspiration: Meet Terron Parker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terron Parker.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My love for music grew when I discovered I had an instrument of my own, my voice. While attending East Carolina University, I began writing music. I was very shy but doing music gave me an outlet and way to express myself.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was smooth at first because I was just having fun and really not sure where my voice would take me, but the more serious I got about it I learned a lot.

Some of my biggest struggles were just staying consistent, trusting the process, listening to the right people, gaining friends, losing friends, being able to create balance in my life, and really getting to know the business side of things that come along with music

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a singer, songwriter, and musician. The type of music I love to sing is RnB. My music is known for being authentic, and real about real situations we go through or have been through. While showing compassion and creating Intimacy through words that are heart-felt.

I’m most proud of this moment. Just to think if I had given up on my dream I would not be doing this interview now. I love living in the moment because that is where better moments are made. The thing that sets me apart from artists today is my style of RnB.

I’m bringing back those great love songs from the ’90s mixed with today’s up-tempo and style beats.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is to invest in yourself. Learn things on your own, so you don’t have to depend on other people. At the end of the day, the only thing that is stopping you is YOU. Always keep that in my mind.
