Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Burnette
Hi Tina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Tina Burnette. I’m an author. I Co-authored MIRACLES in the Kingdom. I am a Liberty University student and a Liberty University alumni. I have worked on a campaign. I served as the campaign committee member. I am a Travel business owner of Burnette’s Travel and the current Administrator for the Elite Business Women Association. My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University. I currently hold the position of Administrator for the Elite Business Women Association. My professional experience encompasses various roles, including Medical Receptionist, Customer Care Representative, and Beauty Advisor. Currently pursuing my Master of Divinity in Community Chaplaincy, I aspire to create a judgment-free zone where my life points people to Christ. I find fulfillment in giving back to my community and volunteering at a men’s homeless shelter in Raleigh. I enjoy shopping and embarking on cruises, with Jamaica and Aruba among my favorite travel destinations in my free time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey has not been smooth. I lost my dad when I was eighteen. This was the most difficult obstacle in my young adulthood life. I needed my dad’s advice and guidance. My mom, brother, and I faced foreclosure on our home for seventeen years.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My love language is acts of service. My ability to overcome the most difficult obstacles and bounce back sets me apart from others. I am currently an online student, Administrator, and Travel Business owner. I am known for my kind words and acts shown to others in their time of need.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Important lessons I’ve learned due to the COVID-19 crisis are to love people and cherish them in the moment. Do not put off visiting your loved ones today for tomorrow. Life is short enjoy people and the things you enjoy now.
