Today we’d like to introduce you to Vivian Jackson.
Hi Vivian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was actually furloughed during the Pandemic, I was a cook at a local hospital with a passion for culinary out of this world! I went into depression upon losing my job and started back cooking at home as therapy. I would post on social media and people went crazy about the dishes that I made! China Town Wednesday had the whole city buzzin!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been smooth, being and entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart! It’s a whole lot of trusting God and believing and knowing that all will be well! Staying motivated, staying creative and consistent is necessary to remain relevant.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Aunt Viv’s is a specialty, while scaling up and servicing many events at a time might be the goal for many, we like to provide our customers with a more tailored menu, approach and experience. We are known for our honey balsamic lamb chops, peach cobbler wontons and endless surf and turfs! I’m most proud of how much we’ve grown over just a year! We’ve been booked in Atlanta, Miami and many other cities!
Any big plans?
I’m catering for the 85 south Show in Fayetteville for their upcoming show and I’m pretty excited about it!
