My name is Almaz Bogale, and I am the owner and founder of Barkot Beauty. My journey in the beauty industry began with a passion for hair and a strong desire to help people feel confident and beautiful.
Through years of hands-on experience and continued education, I’ve developed a personalized approach to haircuts, color, highlights, balayage, and treatments. I believe every client is unique, and listening is just as important as technique.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has not always been smooth. One of my biggest challenges was financial—having the resources to invest in education, quality products, equipment, and marketing to grow my hair business. There were moments when progress felt slow, and I had to be very careful with every decision I made.
Through faith, hard work, and perseverance, I continued to move forward. With God’s help, doors continued to open at the right time, and each challenge became a learning experience. Today, things are going well, and those early struggles taught me discipline, gratitude, and resilience, which continue to guide how I run my business.
