Today we’d like to introduce you to TaChé.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Intimate Remedies started with a passion for dance, love, and dating. Being the deep and creative lover that I am, I had grown tired of traditional date night options. I knew that I had a gift of connecting with my love partner intimately through dance and I wanted to share that gift with other people. So I started creating date night packages based on what I needed. These packages included wine & hors d’oeuvres, a sensual movement dance lesson for couples to engage in, an intimate pillow-talk session and a nightcap. I presented this idea to a potential collaborator with no success. I continued to write my vision and create pieces that I knew other people would want to learn.
In 2018, I had the honor of choreographing and directing my own segment in the sold-out show entitled “The Naked Truth” presented by Tiana Sutton. My best friend, Kyla, and her love partner, James, were right in the audience cheering me on. After the show, I pitched the idea to Kyla and she was 100% invested. She even encouraged James, who is a visual artist to host Paint & Sip date nights for couples. From there, we all collaborated to create a company called Create HeArt, a mobile date night experience specializing in the arts of dance, painting, and photography.
We planned a very successful grand opening in March of 2018. Unfortunately, I had to take some time off due to a personal hardship. In 2019 I was able to regain control of the hardship. I was also able to gain more knowledge and experience that would contribute to the success of Intimate Remedies down the line. We competed at a business pitch competition and won a free marketing consultation with Brandilly Creative Group. From there we were able to add more packages to our business and even landed our first booking with the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity from NC State. We were discouraged when covid prevented us from hosting this event.
We geared back up for a second time in January of this year (2021) to find out that our business name Create Heart had been registered by someone else while we were idle. We used that as an opportunity to rebrand ourselves as Intimate Remedies, which we love so much more! We are currently a two-woman operation who has planned, executed and hosted date nights, retreats, and spa days. Our biggest retreat was back in June called The Sundress Affair. We just recently kicked-off a collaboration with Studio Motif of Durham, NC called The Lunch Time Social. The Lunch Time Social is a recurring experience for people who are looking to “escape” from the everyday hustle and bustle of their workday and of course, we use that as an opportunity to spread love by offering a rejuvenating experience.
We have overcome so many obstacles along the way and we are here to stay.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have had to adjust our organizational structure twice and learn how to manage our business with fewer people. We have also had to find ways to pivot in regards to the coronavirus pandemic. Finding people that align without mission and vision and that also innerstand conflict resolution has been an obstacle. Along the way, I’ve learned that business IS personal and how to leave an appropriate amount of room for human emotion and personal life obstacles in the workplace.

We will also begin to rent out some of our beautiful date night pieces like our beautiful white lace TeePee that our clients love for romantic picnics and our elegant bohemian-inspired backdrop.
Beginning January 2022 we will offer a 6-month date night subscription plan. We will provide a consultation to asses unique intimacy needs then develop a 6-month date night plan to address those needs. Couples will be able to receive one date per month for 6 months at a bundled rate.
