Exploring Life & Business with Aylicec Rojas of AVRAC FINANCE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aylicec Rojas.

Hi Aylicec, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am Aylicec Rojas, CEO and Founder of AVRAC Finance. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, I earned dual professional degrees — a Certified Public Accounting degree in 2002 and a Business Administration degree in 2004 — and built over 20 years of expertise across financial institutions in Venezuela, Spain, and the United States.

When I arrived in the United States in 2012, I immersed myself in the American financial system and collaborated with nonprofit organizations to deliver Financial Planning Master Classes in English and Spanish — reaching hundreds of individuals who had never had access to professional financial guidance before.

In 2019, my family and I relocated to Spain for work. The following year, my husband José and I made a defining decision — to return to the United States from Madrid and build something of our own.

In 2020, I was authorized by the IRS as a Tax Preparer with an active PTIN. Each year since, I have completed the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP), with my credentials listed in the IRS Tax Professional Directory — a reflection of my ongoing commitment to education, compliance, and professional excellence. I am also a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor Gold Partner and an Intuit Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Level 1 — credentials that reinforce AVRAC Finance’s dedication to accurate, technology-driven bookkeeping and accounting solutions.

Today, AVRAC Finance is a trusted bilingual Tax and Business Accounting Solutions firm headquartered in Clayton, North Carolina, serving clients nationwide. We specialize in tax preparation and planning, business accounting, bookkeeping, LLC formation, financial consulting, and document translation — with a particular focus on the Hispanic and immigrant community.

What I am most proud of is not the breadth of our services — it is the depth of our relationships. We do not simply process documents. We sit with our clients, walk through their numbers, and help them understand what those numbers mean for their futures. For many, AVRAC Finance is the first professional relationship in which they have felt genuinely seen and understood. That trust is the standard we will never compromise.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building AVRAC Finance has never been a straight line. It has been a path shaped by real obstacles, met with deliberate effort and an unwavering commitment to the community I serve.

Success does not come easily — but with discipline and faith, anything is possible.
When José and I launched AVRAC Finance, we were returning from Spain after living through the COVID-19 lockdown in Spain and Italy — confined for over 40 days while the economy collapsed around us. We came back to the United States and started over, from the ground up.
Building a professional virtual Tax & Business Accounting Solutions firm required significant investment in technology, certifications, and marketing — without a guarantee of results. Shifting client expectations from traditional in-person service to a virtual model was an ongoing challenge, especially within a community that values personal relationships.
And as a Venezuelan-born, bilingual Latina professional with over 20 years of experience, credibility was never assumed — it was earned, one client at a time.

Discipline, faith, and a genuine commitment to our clients carried us through every obstacle.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
AVRAC Finance is a bilingual Tax & Business Accounting Solutions firm headquartered in Clayton, North Carolina, with operations in Florida and international reach spanning Panama, Spain, Mexico, and Venezuela. We specialize in serving LLCs, S-Corporations, and Sole Proprietorships — with a primary focus on the Hispanic and immigrant business community across the southeastern United States.
Our services include tax preparation and planning, monthly accounting and bookkeeping, payroll management, financial statement preparation, IRS problem resolution, business structuring, financing advisory, document translation, and financial education through our AVRACADEMY online platform.
What sets us apart is simple: in a market where no major local firm explicitly offers Spanish-language services, AVRAC Finance is the only fully bilingual Tax & Business Accounting Solutions firm in the Triangle area.
Our CEO, Aylicec Rojas, brings over 20 years of expertise across three countries, holds dual professional degrees, and is IRS-authorized with an active PTIN. She completes the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) annually, with credentials officially listed in the IRS Tax Professional Directory.
We are most proud that our growth has been built largely on referrals — because clients trust us enough to recommend us to their families and business partners. For many, AVRAC Finance is the first professional financial relationship where they have felt truly understood.
AVRAC Finance exists because our community deserves more than a transaction. We are built on education, ethics, and a genuine commitment to helping small business owners and families build financially stable lives — regardless of language or background.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The tax and accounting industry is undergoing one of the most significant transformations in its history — and AVRAC Finance is positioned at the center of that shift.

Over the next 5 to 10 years, we see three major forces reshaping the landscape.

Artificial Intelligence and Automation will fundamentally change how financial services are delivered. Routine tax preparation, bookkeeping, and data entry will become increasingly automated, raising the bar for what clients expect from their financial professionals. Firms that survive and thrive will be those that combine technological efficiency with human expertise, cultural competency, and personalized advisory — exactly the model AVRAC Finance is building toward.

The Growth of the Hispanic Business Community represents one of the most significant economic opportunities in the United States. Hispanic-owned businesses are among the fastest-growing segments of the American economy, yet they remain critically underserved by the mainstream financial and accounting industry. As this community continues to expand across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida, the demand for bilingual, culturally competent financial services will grow substantially — and the firms positioned to serve that demand will define the next generation of regional accounting leaders.

The Shift Toward Year-Round Financial Advisory is already underway. Clients are moving away from the once-a-year tax appointment model and toward ongoing relationships with financial professionals who provide continuous guidance — monthly accounting, payroll management, tax planning, and business consulting under one roof. AVRAC Finance has been built around this model from the start.

We also anticipate increased government and federal contracting opportunities for certified minority-owned and women-owned firms in the financial education and tax compliance space — an area we are actively preparing to enter through key certifications and strategic partnerships.

The firms that will lead this industry in a decade are not the largest — they are the most trusted, the most adaptable, and the most deeply connected to the communities they serve. That is the standard AVRAC Finance holds itself to every day.
