Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenna Cogliati.
Hi Brenna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Prior to real estate, I worked in the dental field. While my job had steady pay, benefits, and was seemingly all a person could want on paper, I didn’t feel lit up about it. I always dreaded work, and I really desired to do work that fueled my soul and that provided me freedom and fulfillment.
When I initially started real estate, my plan was just to do it as a fun side hustle. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure if I was going to like it! However, the more I got into it, I was magnetically pulled into the field & I realized I actually thoroughly enjoyed helping people buy and sell their homes.
There was & still is this stigma that real estate agents are these greedy, sleazy salespeople who are only working for their own financial gain. It’s not always true, and it’s my goal to flip that narrative and show the consumer that working with an agent can make the transaction infinitely smoother. And hey, hopefully, we can have some fun in the process! Buying and selling a home is not a small ordeal. Financially, it’s likely your largest investment, and it’s my belief that you should hire a professional you mesh with to assist you!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing worth having is easy. I am still early in my career, and what most people don’t realize is that your first 1-3 years are pretty challenging while you try to build your book of business. It’s long hours, marketing, and working for free to try to build your brand. This is what is takes to lay the foundation for your business to thrive. A big challenge in real estate is also the fierce competition. Everyone & their mama seems to be in the field these days, and it can often feel intimidating to try to stand out & be successful. It’s easy to succumb to imposter syndrome and want to throw in the towel, but it’s also incredibly motivating to know there’s always room for improvement, education, and growth.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Brenna Cogliati Real Estate?
I pride myself most on my ability to build relationships. That’s really what real estate is-building and nurturing your relationships. I like working with people who like working with me, and yes, that means I believe strongly in mixing business and friendship. If you can’t trust your friends to best serve you, who can you trust? I truly hope that the clients that work with me feel like I delivered a full-service experience to make the process less cumbersome for them. In my opinion, aiding in such a huge financial transaction while developing a positive relationship is the most fulfilling thing I could ever do.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Raleigh is such a great place to be because there is so much growth & opportunity for people. Not only that but there are tons of great restaurants & activities, which is a blast! My least favorite thing about Raleigh is the traffic! Haha, I’m a small-town girl at heart for sure.
