Exploring Life & Business with Dee Dixon of Giovanna’s Château LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dee Dixon.

Dee Dixon

Hi Dee, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, I am Dee “The Organized Manager!” This is the one moment I make it about “me.” I love the color pink. “Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed” – Elle Woods.

Target runs, coffee, aesthetically curated places/events, and the office as a seasoned mom, army wife, and Air Force veteran. Juggling it all takes work very well. I’ve been a single, college, working, and stay-at-home mom. I am very analytical and a visionary. I am type ENFP. I have a huge heart and love to serve others. I believe my happiness and success aren’t the only meaningful thing in the world. We are all connected in some form. Through this, I think other people’s success can inadvertently influence mine or others, leading to a domino effect. Whether good or bad. My role in society is to help others be the best version of themselves. I was the small-town girl who always dreamed big.

I would write down my plans. Fun fact: I watched The Travel Channel like it was PBS Kids. I wanted to see the world and have an itinerary before going. My childhood friend and I attempted to dig a hole in her sandbox from NC to China as little girls. Hindsight is 2020. Being a business owner has always been the vision, even when many didn’t see it. For years, I stifled myself to be who others wanted me to be. I grew up as the black sheep in my family and my peers in school. It was rough, yet I found a way, even as the black sheep, to provide something for the people. With my entrepreneurial spirit, I always found ways to make money. I would sell candy, chips, and drinks at school using my allowance and money earned from good grades. During high school, I bargained with kids who didn’t have transportation and charged them for pick-ups and drop-offs. I missed the mark on that one for Uber or Lyft.

Adulthood was a breath of fresh air as I found my way. Thriving in my individuality, I worked in many sectors that allowed me to serve my community while being impactful. One of my most outstanding achievements was joining the Air Force, adding to the family legacy of my dad and other family members. There, I met many amazing people from all walks of life. The mission to serve the country also became a mission to serve my fellow brethren so they can succeed in their present roles and future endeavors. Now, as a Veteran, I still exemplify that leadership and servitude as I help thriving professional individuals and families find the balance for their personal lives, homes, and businesses. Creating and maintaining a structured routine and organized environment is a necessity not only for parents but also for children. Children in environments of order feel more confident and secure. As an integral part of families, I have a firsthand look into their family dynamics. They aren’t seen as a customer or numbers but as family. Each family is met with an exciting new challenge to propel their family’s livelihood toward optimal success. My core values are integrity, creativity, adaptability, team player, and dependability. The family support provided seems minimal to many. Yet the impact of mental and physical well-being is lifelong. I am committed to making society better and making it socially impactful. Through managing the affairs of your home – a load of laundry, a home reset, an organized closet, and more. It gives families more energy to efficiently parent and be better partners/spouses, employees, or business owners. Helping families balance their lives is crucial. We can’t wait to serve you!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t! They say you can start a business with little to no money. However, to succeed, you need cash and an excellent team to ensure you remain in compliance and on target with revenue and expenses. For me, overhead and operating expenses have been challenging in keeping prices reasonable and sustaining the business. Paying taxes and legal and accounting fees were more than I ever imagined, yet they are nonnegotiable.

I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Giovanna’s Château LLC?
My name is Dee, and I own Giovanna’s Chateau LLC. This veteran-owned business provides various services, including house cleaning, management, organizing, and packing/unpacking services. Our mission is to help busy professionals, particularly women, regain control of their lives so they can focus on the things that matter most, whether family, career, or personal interests. We understand how overwhelming it can be to juggle everything, and that’s where we come in. We are the missing piece that allows families to enjoy their time without worrying about the hassle of caring for their homes. Our services are tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients so they can rest assured that their homes are in good hands.

We are mainly known for providing house management services. We are distinct in that we are veteran-owned and operated. We offer a service many people need or want; however, only a few companies exist. I am proud of having grown as a small business owner. I started with 1 client and was able to grow organically through FB networking groups. In honor of our second business anniversary, we are running a special for first-time clients to receive 20% off of their initial service.

What does success mean to you?
True success is not just about achieving higher education or income levels; it’s about finding peace, joy, love, freedom, relaxation, and worry-free. These things truly matter and are essential for a fulfilling and happy life. We all deserve a haven to unwind, find love, and create. That’s why creating a peaceful and harmonious environment in our homes is important, where we can recharge our minds and bodies. Remember, success is not just about material possessions but about finding inner peace and happiness.
