Exploring Life & Business with Drew Tidwell of Tidwell & Company, LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drew Tidwell.

Hi Drew, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My entrepreneurial journey began at just 18… curious, ambitious, and admittedly green. With no prior business experience or credibility, I was driven by a simple yet profound desire to live life on my own terms. I wanted to “work to live, not live to work”. Fortunately, I crossed paths early on with phenomenal mentors who stretched my thinking, shaped my leadership, and, most importantly, showed me that entrepreneurial skills can be learned. Their influence has been transformational.

I started in online direct sales, focusing on building strong customer relationships and helping people discover products that supported their goals or solved everyday challenges. As I grew, I realized that true impact came not from doing it all myself, but from empowering others. Shifting from building a business to building people & teams was where the real fulfillment began.

The path certainly hasn’t always been smooth… I mastered the basics, stumbled, got back up, and laid a solid foundation while balancing college and then a job in the financial sector. Over time, with momentum on my side, I took a leap of faith, leaving the 9-to-5 grind to embrace entrepreneurship more intently.

When I reflect on the success I’ve been blessed to experience so far, it all traces back to five foundational forces:

1. Faith First.
My Christian faith has been the compass guiding me from day one. It’s anchored my decisions and kept my ambitions rooted in something bigger than myself. Business may ebb & flow, but purpose is steady.

2. My “Home-Court Advantage.”
I married my high school sweetheart, Stephanie, and we’ve been building something side by side from day one. She’s what I like to call my home-court advantage. Her belief in our vision and in me has made all the difference, infusing our journey with richness, laughter, and resilience. She’s always made me feel absolutely invincible (And yes, I hope this scores me some well-deserved brownie points.).

3. The Right People.
From my mom, who instilled a sense of unlimited belief so strong in me that it occasionally straddled the line between cockiness & confidence, to mentors who challenged me to grow in character, not just in income, I’ve been surrounded by remarkable people who shaped me. Add to that a team of rock stars who believe in the vision and trust me to lead the way, and it’s been a collective journey, not a solo climb.

4. Skill Over Time.
I don’t think you’re a certain number of years away from your goals, as much as I believe you’re a skillset away. That’s the real gap. The question I ask myself constantly is: “What high-level skills have I developed that make me stand out?” The more value you bring to the marketplace, the more doors open.

5. Crockpot Mindset in a Microwave World.
If I have a superpower, it’s perseverance. I don’t just dislike quitting—I loathe it. I’ve learned that the size of your dream determines the size of the obstacles you’re willing to overcome. While others chase easy, I’m focused on “worth it.”

Today, Stephanie and I dedicate our time to coaching aspiring entrepreneurs, helping them develop the skills needed to start and scale their businesses. It’s a privilege to witness people from all walks of life catch a vision for their future, break through limiting beliefs, and unlock their true leadership potential. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone realize they’re capable of so much more than they ever imagined.

This is the short version, every step has been meaningful, and in many ways, it feels like I’m just getting started.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, entrepreneurship is a roller-coaster, full of twists and turns & highs and lows. It even changes speeds, growing at a snails pace at times, but then seeing things explode faster than you could’ve dreamed. You learn to appreciate the slow times because that’s when you build character to sustain you during the prosperous times so that you don’t start reading your own press clippings and accolades.

Being so young when I started, I doubted my ability to network and connect with people who were older than me or had more credibility & experience. I didn’t think they’d take me seriously. Once I got that out of my own head, they actually did take me seriously and my young age actually became a competitive advantage.

The waiting & wondering. It took way longer to reach certain goals than I thought it would, but I guess that’s pretty normal. Most people overestimate what they can do in 6 months but underestimate what they can do in 5-10 years. There’s no way around it, you have to keep doing what you know in your heart seems right even when the physical results haven’t shown up yet. It takes faith AND PATIENCE.

The pain you feel when you’ve invested your whole heart into someone who decides to throw in the towel and walk away.

I took every “NO” as a personal rejection early on. It took me awhile to realize that experiencing failure and being a failure are two completely different things. I had to reframe my losses as lessons.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Tidwell & Company, LLC. ?
We run an online direct sales business focused on two key pillars:

1) Customer-Centered Sales
We help people discover high-quality products that align with their goals or solve everyday challenges. Our product portfolio spans performance nutrition, wellness, beauty, homecare, and personal care essentials—essentials people already use, now with better results and better ingredients.

2) Mentorship-Based Business Building
We mentor aspiring entrepreneurs in starting, building, and scaling their own online direct sales businesses—without needing to be experts when they start. Our system provides the tools, coaching, and support to help everyday people become confident business owners.

What makes us different?

Community & Mentorship
We specialize in helping people who’ve always wanted to own a business but didn’t know where to start. We surround them with mentorship, resources, and a like-minded community to walk with them step by step.

A Scalable, Empowering Model
Unlike traditional businesses that rely on hiring employees, we scale by building leadership teams. Each person we work with builds their own business, with skin in the game and ownership over their growth. This shifts our relationship from boss-employee to mentor-mentee or coach-player—where success is shared, and support is real.

What do I want readers to know?
If someone is looking to build a business on the side of their full-time career—but feels they lack the capital, experience, or direction, that’s our sweet spot. We help people start smart, develop the skills they need to scale up, and stay connected to a mission-driven community.

And hey, even if entrepreneurship isn’t your thing, we’ve got access to some amazing products you might love.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is legacy. I’m not just building a business, I’m building a life that reflects my faith, serves my family well, and helps others realize what’s possible when they take ownership of their future.

My wife and I have been building this together since the beginning of our marriage. It’s way more than income, it’s about impact. We’re raising our kids in a home where they get to see what it looks like to chase your dreams, get knocked down, get back up, and keep going until you win. I want them to know that success doesn’t come from playing it safe; it comes from living with purpose and perseverance.

I started my entrepreneurial journey at 18, not because I had it all figured out, but because I wanted options – to have more control over how I spent my time, to be present for my future family, to live out my faith without compromise, to shatter the ceilings that can some times come with working for someone else, and to help others do the same. Today, what drives me is helping people break out of survival mode and into significance. With the right mentorship, community, and work ethic, they can build something meaningful, and I get to walk that road with them.

That’s the kind of legacy I want to leave behind.
