Exploring Life & Business with Hallie Morgan of Cheer Elite Allstars

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hallie Morgan.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
At the young age of 14, Hallie had a dream of starting her own all-star cheerleading gym. Refusing to put her aspirations off until adulthood, it was her intention to go after her dreams immediately. Even as a child, Hallie recognized that dreams rarely come true when they are not written down. With that in mind, Hallie pulled out her dry-erase board and marker and began to bring her vision to life. She wrote out every detail of her future program and sketched out her idea of the perfect Cheer Elite Allstars uniform. Excited about her vision, she called her grandmother (Mamoo), the best seamstress she knew, to help bring her ideas to life. Hallie and Mamoo took a trip to the local fabric store and spent hours deciding on fabrics and creating the perfect pattern. Once everything was decided, they both sat down at the kitchen table, and Hallie watched Mamoo seam individual pieces of fabric into a beautiful uniform that would garner attention to help cheer elite blossom. The uniform was custom-made to fit Hallie, and she did not waste any time running to try it on. It was perfect. 

The finished product was the start of what would be years of blood, sweat, tears, and triumph. With the uniform being complete, Hallie was able to hold her very first tryout in a one-room dance studio with only a single mat purchased off of Craigslist. Hallie was excited for little girls to flood the tryout and was discouraged to see only two girls show up that also happened to be her mom’s best friend’s kids (which was probably not a coincidence). While she was discouraged, she was not defeated. Hallie began the team with those two girls. The two girls turned into 4… then to 6… By the end of the season, she had a full team of 12 girls. Hallie felt her team was finally ready to compete, so she registered her team for a national competition at Carowinds. Before the team took the mat, Hallie’s emotions took over, and she stood in front of the stage crying because of the overwhelming passion she felt for her little dream team. In Hallie’s words: “My heart was beating so fast, but not only because I was nervous, my heart was beating for the 12 little girls that were getting ready to take the mat. It’s like all of our hearts were beating together as one.” With this concept in mind, Hallie has grown cheer elite into what it is today, A nationally respected cheer gym that produces excellence in her athletes, both on and off mat with state, regional, and national wins. But most importantly a gym that comes together as one family… one team…one dream…One Heartbeat. 

We are Cheer Elite 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The challenges we encountered from the very beginning were quite formidable, primarily due to the fact that I started Cheer Elite Allstars at the age of 14. At that age, I lacked the financial means and credit to secure a loan for the expensive equipment we needed to operate effectively. However, rather than relying on loans, we decided to take a different route. We worked tirelessly to acquire all of our equipment through fundraising efforts, showing our determination to make this venture work. 

Another significant challenge we faced was the search for a suitable location. We had to move from one building to another in our quest to find the right space for our cheerleading business. I distinctly remember juggling my college classes while meeting with realtors over the span of several months. This was a testament to our commitment to providing a safe and suitable environment for our athletes to thrive. 

In addition to these logistical challenges, we also had to navigate the typical obstacles that come with any sport. This included the natural ebb and flow of athletes, injuries, and the occasional drama among cheer parents. Overcoming these challenges was no small feat, but it’s part of the journey that has shaped us and made us even more resilient and determined to succeed. It’s through these challenges that we’ve grown and learned, ultimately making Cheer Elite Allstars the thriving community it is today. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As the owner of Cheer Elite Allstars, my role is multifaceted and encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. One of my primary roles is as a cheer coach and choreographer. I work closely with our athletes to design and perfect their routines, ensuring they are competition-ready. This involves not only crafting creative and engaging routines but also fine-tuning every aspect, from stunts and pyramids to tumbling and dance, to make sure they shine on the mat. 

In addition to the creative side, I also handle the operational aspects of the business. 

From crafting and perfecting routines to managing the intricate ins and outs of the business, I’m fully committed to ensuring that Cheer Elite Allstars remains a place of excellence for our athletes and a thriving, community-oriented business. 

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I appreciate the question, but I have to say luck has played very little to no role in the success of Cheer Elite Allstars. Our journey has been defined by hard work, determination, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. 

From day one, we’ve poured our heart and soul into creating a space where young athletes can thrive and achieve their full potential. It’s been countless hours of dedicated practice, continuous learning, and a deep passion for the sport that have propelled us to where we are today. 

Success, in my opinion, is rarely a result of luck at all. It’s about setting ambitious goals, working tirelessly to achieve them, and pushing through adversity with resilience. Cheer Elite Allstars is the culmination of countless sacrifices, unwavering dedication, and the incredible support of our athletes, parents, and the entire community. 

While there may have been challenges along the way, we’ve always believed that success is not a matter of chance but rather a product of our collective efforts. We’re here today because we’ve chosen to create our own luck through hard work and determination. Our story is a testament to the power of perseverance, and I’m incredibly proud of all that we’ve accomplished through sheer dedication.
