Hi Haywood, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My construction career began at the young age of 13, working with my father who was a GC. I continued developing my skills at Job Corps, obtaining a trade in carpentry. My dedication to construction took me to the Navy, where I served as a BU – SeeBee while simultaneously furthering my education in Construction Management. In 2012, I achieved my dream of becoming a GC, and I have since been delivering exceptional commercial construction and development projects.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The complexities of residential construction led me to explore the commercial and development side of the industry, which has proven to be a more enjoyable and rewarding journey, allowing me to make a positive change.
