Hi JacQuil, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
A walk from Raleigh NC to Atlanta Georgia in December 2008 was the when was I found my purpose of wanting to open a barbershop catered to individuals with special needs.
My younger sister Jessica of whom has special needs has been my “why” in life.
When I was younger I would volunteer for my sisters class alongside of my mom and I just noticed no ones haircut fit their personality. I enrolled in Carolina Beauty College in Charlotte 04, graduated in 06 and moved to Raleigh to start 7CutzAbove

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth but it’s been well worth it!
Creating something new and needed was the hardest. Not everyone thought this service should be a paid service. A lot of people didn’t believe I would get to where I am now.

I am most proud of the integrity/character of 7CutzAbove.
I want readers to know that 7CutzAbove has many goals that will motivate & inspired those in this world to find their purpose. Never give up on yourself or your dream. Remember it can’t be silly if God gave it to you.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Done be afraid to stand alone for what you believe
