Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Regan.
Hi Jay, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story starts in early 2018 when I first started my fitness journey and tried to change my life. I had begun at 110 lbs. I had been skinny my entire life and was finally ready to make some big changes. I started tracking my calories and macros and eating up to 3Kcalories, working out at home with my own dumbbells. I started watching Brendan Meyers who was a bodyweight coach on YouTube at the time.
Due to my restricted diet with no eggs, milk, or soy, I decided to try using a vegan diet to see faster and cleaner results. To my surprise and everyone else, I saw huge results with the vegan diet vs. a regular meat and veggies diet in the first 3 months. Within 6 months, I had not only found the confidence to try going to a public gym but I had gained a successful 30 lbs weighing around 140-145 by early August.
Going into 2019 with school and work I had stayed consistent with my workouts but had fallen into my old ways with the meat and veggies diet to add more weight and slow down my digestive system with the meats. Right before Corona had shut down all the gyms, I was weighing between 170and 180 being the heaviest. Through Corona, I had done at-home workouts and published them to help others get through the time indoors.
Doing calisthenics park workouts and football workouts just to stay active and fit until the gyms opened back up, we were doing anything to maintain our healthy lifestyles until we could resume traditional weight room workouts.
Come the time the gyms slowly opened back up even with mask restrictions once I found some of the smaller gyms opening back up, I immediately got a membership and went the day of chasing the heavy pump we had been missing. Back to putting 25lbs on the bar instead of three plates a lot of muscle and strength had been lost but all that means is that a lot of work was needed.
From here, I had a couple of setbacks. 2 visits to the hospital and a motorcycle accident had put my plans on the back burner a couple of times but this did not stop me.
By 2021, we were back on track around august we had regained a majority of our mass and strength. By late November, we made a huge jump to push harder than ever in preparation for the new year’s resolution and new year’s clients. This is where we organized and started our new Online Personal Training business. We hit 180lbs again started to travel and meet with content creators to really get a better grasp on the social media scene and put ourselves out there.
This would lead us back to today where we are now striving to make better content, meeting with more creators than ever working on my online social media platform, and looking to make this passion of my life, my life’s work to inspire others and to help others change their lives and health through the powerful tool the is health and fitness.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been easy getting to where I am today. My diet for one consists of 7 thousand calories every single day just to maintain my weight.
I have had a couple of ups and downs with hospital visits and the gyms shutting down due to corona. One of my biggest setbacks was the motorcycle accident had put me down for a little bit.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My brands’ purpose is to change the lives of others through fitness the way it has changed my life. Not only does working out improve how you look. It improves confidence, planning, and regimens, the way you view life and goals. It improves the quality of life and lifestyle decisions and overall health.
I own my business as the only head trainer and I specialize in muscle mass building and weight loss. The way that I train is unlike most other coaches in the fact that I am to educate and train for life not just to have returning clients seeing minimal results. My programs are designed for maximum results and lifelong education of fitness.
I am most happy with the quality and affordability I bring to all of my customers with my service and how I can deliver such information to the most people with such a small investment. The services I offer from personal training to online training are in my knowledge unmatched.
When it comes down to customer service, accountability the customization, and work I put into each and every one of my clients is made and handcrafted to permanently impact and change each of their lives for the better!
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I will be honest, I have learned a plethora of knowledge and teachings along the way all of which have helped me become the person I am today.
The biggest I would say is LIVE for YOURSELF. Do not spend a single day doing what you hate or tolerating what you do not have to. Life is about living not being miserable. It doesn’t matter if it’s a person or your job. Do what puts a smile on your face every single day because you don’t know when your last day will be.
Make the present-day worth unmatched. A teacher once told me, “Don’t ever be unhappy in life. Do whatever it is you love, and find a way to make money doing it” and that is exactly what I did in the fitness industry and with my business!
