Jessica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey began during a really challenging time for my family-My mom and dad were going through a divorce after three decades of marriage. It was one of the toughest moments but also an eye opening experiences.

I found myself involved in helping my mom and dad navigate through the process of selling and purchasing new homes all while grappling with the being in a pandemic.

Despite everything I discovered a love for real estate and fulfillment in helping my parents find a new beginning amidst the divorce.

I had always been drawn to serving others, but this experience struck a chord with me. Being a realtor just felt like a natural fit, almost like a calling. The emotional weight that accompanies buying or selling a home is immense, and when you layer it with a divorce or relocating to another state, it can be overwhelmingly daunting if you don’t have an advisor by your side.

I realized that with compassion and knowledge, I could truly make all the difference in navigating people’s stories and be of service in such a powerful way – finding someone a home or taking the next right step.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting out in real estate has been really smooth. I think because I have so many people cheering me on, believe it or not! I’ve had a whole squad of women in particular cheering me on, saying, “You’re on your right path or You can do it!”

Now, before I got into the world of real estate, I was in education and don’t get me wrong, I adored my time working in schools, but let’s face it, being a teachers or administrators in a school can be a bit… let’s call it an acquired taste. After navigating that maze, I figure anything else would be a walk in the park.

I was also an operations manager so real estate feels familiar.
