Today we’d like to introduce you to Martin Burke.
Hi Martin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was a mortgage originator in the Raleigh area for over 30 years. I lost my father and my two brothers all within a few years of each other and I was responsible for cleaning out and selling their homes. My worst lifetime trauma came a phenomenal second career. I watched for years and years realtors treating their clients without top level service and yet getting top level money. I wanted to create a business model in real estate that would allow top level service at a reduced cost to the customer. For the last six years, I have provided many clients thousands in savings to home sellers in the triangle area using my custom strategy. I am proud of the equity retention that I can provide with my deep triangle knowledge & experience.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
A lot of my competitors used to laugh at me because I had no experience and I wanted to give it away. Fast-forward to today and a lot of those competitors called me for advice or ideas on marketing. I’m humbled when they do call me because I remember how frustrated I was when I couldn’t get a deal.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I left a well paying 30 year job to start something brand new at 50 years old and I am still taking risks everyday. I am on the short road of my life now so hopefully I can make a lasting impact on many families before I am done.
