Hi Michelle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Absolutely. My journey in photography began in 2009 when my dad, a photographer himself, first put a camera in my hands. From the beginning, he has been my greatest inspiration and mentor, What started as a hobby slowly grew as I photographed family, friends, and events. With the encouragement and financial help of my dear sweet mom and the unwavering support of my husband, I was able to invest in education, equipment, and the foundations of a real business.
Now in my 50s, I’m proud to say that it’s never too late to start something new or pursue a dream you’ve carried for years. Over time, that passion has evolved into a career specializing in wedding and corporate photography. I’ve refined my style, built a warm and organized client experience, and I’m grateful to serve couples and companies across Eastern NC and beyond—doing work that brings me joy every day.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. In the beginning, my biggest challenges were confidence and learning the business side of photography. Weddings move quickly, corporate work demands precision, and it took time to trust my eye and handle high-pressure moments with ease. I also had to figure out pricing, organization, branding, and how to stand out in a crowded industry.
But every challenge pushed me to grow—creatively and professionally. Looking back, those struggles shaped my work ethic and helped me become the photographer I am today.

I’m a wedding and corporate photographer based in Greenville, specializing in timeless, natural imagery and a calm, organized client experience. I’m known for being thorough, prepared, and supportive—whether I’m documenting an emotional wedding day or a fast-paced corporate event. What sets me apart is the level of care I bring: clear communication, detailed planning, and a seamless process from start to finish. Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built with clients and the consistency of my work. I want readers to know that I offer wedding photography, corporate event coverage, and professional headshots—all with a focus on professionalism, reliability, and images that remain classic for years to come.
What’s next?
Looking ahead, I’m excited about the direction my business is growing. I plan to expand my wedding and corporate work throughout Greenville and the Southeast, take on more destination weddings, and partner with more local businesses for branding, headshots, and events. I’m also focused on elevating my client experience with smoother communication, curated galleries, and helpful resources. Education is another area I’m exploring, offering guidance for newer photographers. Overall, I’m intentionally building a brand that continues to evolve—taking on inspiring projects, investing in new tools, and creating meaningful, timeless work for the clients I serve.
