Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Hill
Hi Paige, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m originally from Anchorage, Alaska, and right after high school, I moved to North Carolina where my dad’s side of the family lived. I enrolled in an esthetics program at Wake Tech and took an additional course to learn lash extensions. I began building my business from my grandparent’s basement practicing on my grandmother and brave cousins. Every free moment was spent perfecting my craft, doing lashes around the clock. I fell in love with making women feel more confident about themselves. Slowly but surely, I started building a loyal clientele—most of them came from word of mouth, and I’m so grateful for Raleigh’s amazing, supportive community.
After graduating, I moved to Raleigh from Clayton to continue lashing, and as my business grew, I found myself moving around, living in Arizona and Nevada for a bit. But North Carolina always felt like home, and after almost two years, I returned with a strong base of loyal clients who welcomed me back with open arms. I rented my own suite, but I always had bigger dreams. I wanted to create something special—a space that felt intimate and close-knit, where women supported women. That vision led me to open my own suite business in North Raleigh, which I completely renovated. The vibe is elevated, elegant, and pink—everything I envisioned.
Now, I’m incredibly proud to work alongside two talented women in the beauty industry. Abby from Wink Lash Studio is an amazing lash artist and a fellow graduate. Elizabeth from Blossom Beauty Esthetics is exceptional when it comes to waxing, laminations, and facials. Together, we’re building something beautiful, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me. I have one more suite available and am looking forward to growing and supporting even more talented women in my space.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Entrepreneurship is never a smooth road—it’s filled with ups and downs. When I started my business while attending esthetics school, I was on my own. I had to invest everything, day in and day out. There is no handbook on how to truly run a business either, it’s mostly trial and error, especially at 18; and if there was a handbook I didn’t know it! One of the toughest challenges I’ve faced is building a client base in places where I was an unknown due to moving multiple times.
Social media has played a huge role in growing my business and reaching new clients, but it’s also one of the most difficult things to manage. There are always new trends, new apps, and platforms like TikTok that change the game, and staying on top of them while keeping up with the demands of running a business is a challenge. As a business owner in today’s world, you have to take on the role of a content creator, which can be tough to balance with a full client schedule.
I think the hardest part of entrepreneurship is finding a work-life balance. You’re constantly striving for more and pushing your business forward, but there’s only so much time in a day. It can be overwhelming at times, but I’ve learned that growth takes patience, persistence, and flexibility.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a perfectionist – hence the name Perfection Beauty Bar. I have always stayed true and authentic to myself and I believe it shines through my brand. So, whether you’re looking for an everyday look or something bold, I’ve got you covered. I can give you everything from the most natural, subtle look to a dramatic, dark, fluffy lash line. It’s all about enhancing your natural beauty while still looking like you! The wispy style has become my signature look and what most clients love because they are so versatile and ideal for everyday wear. It’s that “I woke up like this” lash look that gives people just enough of a pop without feeling too dramatic. What really sets me apart is that I focus on creating lash styles that feel approachable for daily wear.
I want every client to feel confident, no matter their lifestyle. Plus, with my outgoing personality, love of food, anything true crime and French bulldogs the conversation flows or it’s time to rest and get a lash nap. Either way it feels more like spending time with friends than that “thing” you have to do. It’s about making people feel great about themselves and making each moment count.
**What are you most proud of brand-wise?**
I’m most proud of the community I’ve built. Maintaining such a close-knit group of clients who trust me and come back time after time is everything to me. I’ve been lucky enough to have some clients since day one, and knowing they continue to come to me after all these years makes me feel incredibly proud and grateful. The relationships I’ve formed are priceless!
**What do you want our readers to know about your brand and offerings?**
At Perfection Beauty Bar, it’s all about enhancing natural beauty, whether through lash lifts or extensions. My passion is making women feel better about themselves. I want my clients to feel confident and beautiful in the most natural, effortless way knowing that I have taken the time to research the best products for everything I use and it shows in how they look, feel and how long they retain their lashes. So, whether my clients are looking for the perfect lash lift or extensions. I am here to help them feel their absolute best.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The COVID-19 crisis taught me several important lessons as a business owner. First and foremost, adaptability became crucial — being able to pivot quickly, whether it was pouring everything into my online platforms, adjusting to new safety protocols, or driving between cities 4 hours one way to work several 10-11 hour days to maintain my clients and to keep my business running. It highlighted the importance of social media in connecting with customers and keeping operations smooth. Innovation became a big focus; I had to think creatively about how to serve my customers in new ways. I had to show up on social media every day and sell products since I couldn’t be hands-on with them. On a personal level, the pandemic emphasized the need for mental resilience and balance as a business owner.
Lastly, it was a reminder of the importance of community — strong relationships with clients and other local businesses helped me navigate the tough times. Without their loyalty and support, that time would’ve been a lot harder. Overall, it taught me that success isn’t just about operations; it’s about staying connected, being flexible, and prioritizing both my business and personal well-being.
