Exploring Life & Business with Raven Edwards of Kraven Juice

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raven Edwards.

Raven, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Kraven Juice was truly birthed out of my passion and desire to use food as medicine while using bold flavors to get the job done!

As you may know, starting a business is truly a labor of love – but KJ is determined to bring fresh and healthy options to the community with an emphasis on using local resources. KJ started off in my home kitchen as I was determined to address some of my recently diagnosed health concerns with a holistic approach.

After seeing the impact that KJ made in my life I was committed to showing others!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One thing I tell anyone interested in starting a small business is…”It’s not always Skittles and rainbows”.

There will be times where you ask yourself why you started, times where you are overwhelmed with orders, times you wonder am doing the right thing… BUT if you truly have a passion for your craft all of those things come with the journey – they are growing pains.

I truly believe God has called me to Kraven Juice so in those moments where I feel overwhelmed or feel like giving up, I just remember why I started.

As you know, we’re big fans of Kraven Juice. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Kraven Juice (KJ) focuses on serving a variety of nutritious drink options to promote healthy lifestyles. Kraven Juice reduces the stigma associated with “healthy food” by offering juices that can accommodate customers ranging from toddlers to older adults. At Kraven Juice, we are firm believers that “food is medicine” and what you consume has a huge impact on your overall health and wellness. KJ aims to promote healthy lifestyles through our mission and vision.

All juices come packed with all the natural vitamins and minerals from each of the fruits, roots, and veggies we use. We believe that the best ingredients provide the best experience and so we’re committed to providing 100% natural juices with no preservatives and no sugar added. We aim to show all people (no matter where you are in your health journey) that food can both be good for your body and taste amazing!

Kraven Juice is not only committed to providing nutritious drink options, but we are also committed to creating access to healthy options for all. My passion to address food security and food access is not isolated to KJ. I have spent the last decade in public health dedicating my professional career to working in food banks, State government offices, non-profit organizations, and much more.

My passion for using food access and justice is not isolated to my own personal interests but my professional commitments as well.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I find joy in helping and serving others. Since I was a little girl, I have always had a nurturing spirit that wants to encourage and care for others. Because of that, my mom always thought I was going to be a Nurse or Doctor (because I also loved science & math).

But ironically, now some of my friends call me “The Kitchen Doctor” – because of how I use KJ and customize juices to meet their personal needs. I truly find joy in helping others reach their personal health goals while encouraging everyone to do what works best for them!
