Hi Roney, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Growing up in Connecticut, that’s pretty much all I have seen and knew up until the point where I started doing a little more traveling outside of Connecticut. That is when everything began to change for me.

That is because I was able to see beyond my limitations of what I already knew. From that moment on, I knew Connecticut was not the place I wanted to be nor live long term.

It was going to be a tough decision to move from my home state where all my connections and resources were but I knew I had to do something for myself for once. Sure enough, I was honored to receive an opportunity to move to North Carolina in 2018 not too long after graduating from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s in Economics. I essentially started all over again as an adult which can be difficult.

I did not know a single soul in North Carolina so I had a lot of free time to be with myself and figure things out. I will say though, given all that I have seen in Connecticut and through my travels, the moment I moved to North Carolina I immediately saw the potential of what this state can be.

From that moment, I began thinking to myself and strategizing with friends about what this state needs and what it is that I enjoy doing that I can do for a long period of time. I knew people were constantly moving to the area and I enjoy connecting with people so it made perfect sense to get into real estate and begin a podcast to continue to network with people.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, it has not been a smooth road.

Starting fresh with anything you have to learn as you go with the hopes of learning from the mistakes someone else has made. The biggest struggle that has impacted me has to be the fact that I am not from North Carolina.

So, trying to start fresh in a new state and begin a career in real estate & podcasting can be quite difficult given both industries require some level of relationships and connections.
