Today we’d like to introduce you to Samreen Nawaz.
Hi Samreen, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Walked into this location with nothing in it. Liked the location of being in downtown Cary. Started everything from scratch and after six and a half years, we are so thankful to be part of our community and the love and support we have from them.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Finding the right niche was something we wanted to obtain. With so many restaurants around, how can we be distinguished? First, we make every order customized. We cater to any dietary restriction such as gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, low salt.
Customers can bring their own alcohol, sans corking fee. We have live jazz nights and complimentary henna nights. Outdoor-covered, heated patio dining gives customers an option of large parties or bringing in their 4-pawed friends.
There have been times when we had to juggle many things because of employee shortage. Sometimes everything seems to be happening simultaneously, like catering for 250 people and still taking care of the customers needs at the restaurant. It has definitely been a learning and growing experience.
As you know, we’re big fans of Kababish Cafe. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are an authentic Pakistani restaurant with touches of Indian and Mediterranean cuisine. We take delight in pleasing all our customers. We make it how you want it… customized. We are known for our excellent customer service and passion for dishing out good food. We take care of our customers who may have allergies or any dietary restrictions.
It is a plus to not be charged a corking fee for bringing in your own bottle of alcohol. I am proud of the fact that our customers over time have become our friends and that they care about us and our business. They have supported us through this pandemic and gave us much hope with praises galore.
We are thankful for this. We at Kababish Cafe, are passionate about what we offer- quality food and service you can feel happy about.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Maintaining the quality and standards is by far, very important. Being genuine with the customers is the key to having a successful business.
It is all about building relationships. Our repeated customers over the years have become our friends. When they spend an average, of one hour dining at Kababish they are enjoying the food, ambience and lastly, good service with a smile. It is a happy feeling and that is the key to our business. In retrospect, we are spreading happiness and also receiving love in return.
