Today we’d like to introduce you to Tylar Brannon.
Tylar, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up, I thought I wanted to go to medical school, but then I ended up going to law school. Going into law school, I knew I wanted to be on the business side of things, but I did not really know what that meant at the time. Fast forward to 2018, I joined Optimal Bio (it was a different name at the time), so a full circle moment. When I joined, we had one office location in Cary, NC seeing around 30 patients per month. I helped create the structure, foundation and brand of what Optimal Bio is today – the SOPs, daily checklists, training programs, rebranding, and opening 10 locations throughout the Southeast and Austin, TX. I learned and continue to learn about the science behind hormones (and overall health and wellness) – as it is the why we show up everyday at Optimal Bio. Over the years, I put thousands of miles on my car (and airline miles) traveling to each location to build Optimal Bio. Today we see over 1000 patients per month.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a CEO or business owner, you have this constant responsibility and pressure for the company to do well. There are always so many moving parts, maybe a few fires going, but it is your job to stay steady and make the decisions (even the hard decisions) that are the best for the company. All while, you are also learning as you are building and growing the company. I describe running a business like driving a big boat – your job is to keep the boat straight and balanced, as the waves are coming and going, getting bigger and smaller. Some of the struggles – hiring and firing, growth challenges or questions, marketing decisions; are we growing fast enough? do we have the right people in place? What can we do to keep growing at the rate I think we should be growing? What are we missing? As an owner, you are constantly thinking about the business, however, there is nothing else I would rather be doing. It is a privilege that I get to lead Optimal Bio, and I do not take that lightly.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Optimal Bio, we specialize in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). BHRT is all-natural and identical to the hormones made by your body. The goal of BHRT is to balance your hormones, bringing them to the optimal levels your body was designed to maintain. This allows symptom relief and preventative care.
Top symptoms we see everyday: Fatigue, Brain Fog, Trouble Sleeping, Lack of Motivation, Anxiety, Depression.
With hormones in optimal ranges, it helps you feel better day to day, and helps protect your heart, brain, and bones. Hormones are the foundation to you how you feel day to day, and your health long term. With testosterone having 500 functions in your body (both in men and women), it is a critical piece to your health. It is key to go to someone who specializes in hormones.
We have 10 locations throughout the Southeast and Austin, Texas.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising? Probably how much I love animals.
