Hidden Gems: Meet Allison Flinn of Reclaim Professional Organizing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Flinn.

Hi Allison, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was working in public relations and looking for a change. I had always been very organized and bosses and colleagues had always commended me for it. A good friend of mine who was a life coach told me she thought I should be a professional organizer. At the time, I had never heard of such a thing. I started researching and right away knew it was something I wanted to pursue. I began organizing part-time in 2008 while living in Los Angeles, knowing that I would most likely relocate. I started Reclaim in July of 2010 when I moved to Raleigh. I now have a team of six and we are continuing to grow.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I started this business immediately after moving to Raleigh and knowing only one other person here. It was definitely difficult securing clients in the beginning but as word of mouth spread business grew.

We specialize in in-home organizing and relocation services. We also offer photo organizing and home inventories.

We are members of NAPO (National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals), NASMM (National Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers) and The Photo Managers.
