Hidden Gems: Meet Amanda Kozloski of The Massage Loft

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Kozloski

Hi Amanda, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi! My name is Amanda Kozloski.

I’ve been a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist since June of 2021, and Esthetics since August 2024.

I am originally from Massachusetts but relocated to NC with my fiancé! I am dually licensed in the states of Massachusetts and North Carolina. The path that led me to massage therapy was a long but rewarding one. After studying hard to be accepted into PTA school, I realized I didn’t have the passion I always dreamed of having in my career choice. I also studied and became an EMT, and that wasn’t quite the right path either! I knew I was meant to help others in some way and I also knew I had a love for the human body. I decided to take a leap into massage therapy – and today, wouldn’t change that choice for the world. I decided to open up my first office in Massachusetts just 6 months after graduating massage therapy school and it was the best decision I could have made. I had a full client book just 3 months in and I was beyond humbled. After working hard for 3 years, I decided to follow my heart and make a move to Raleigh. I am now rebuilding my business and clientele here and it’s bittersweet. I also recently graduated esthetics school in NC – I’m so excited to eventually bring skincare into my practice in the near future.

As part of my practice and philosophy, I strive to both educate and help my clients, empowering them to live better and healthier lives. I enjoy meeting new clients and easing any nervousness or apprehension about receiving massage therapy.

I take on a very therapeutic approach to treatments. If you need a positive, energetic and caring massage therapist, look no further!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Rebuilding myself in Raleigh is definitely not the easiest having just moved here, as the market is more saturated with large chains. I moved to Raleigh not having known anyone except my fiancé and his family, so connections are harder to make as a newbie in the area! However, I am confident with time and patience, good things will come.

I give a more personalized, holistic experience, with a cozier vibe. You will always see the same person every time you visit my office – me!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love to specialize in headache & migraine relief within my massage practice, with focus work on the upper back, neck and shoulders. So much tension is stored here and causes our headaches to start. These sessions are typically a one hour focus on strictly the back and neck, head and face. I also include hot towels and aromatherapy with each massage session. I am also going to be dually licensed within the next month, so clients will be able to visit a one-stop-shop for massage and facials! No two massages may ever be perfectly the same – I tend to change up and tailor massage techniques and modalities such as cupping, Swedish, deep tissue, and trigger point to give clients the most relief out of their time with me. I’m very excited to dive into practicing skincare soon as well, taking a more natural and holistic approach.

I offer a very personalized experience with massage and love to connect with my clients, get to know their stories and what is truly causing them pain. Nothing is worse than having to explain your issues over and over again to a new massage therapist! Visiting my office, they will always see me and I will know what areas of their body need the most attention.

I am also very proud to sell Bathorium bath products, which I import out of Canada. They are bath bombs and bath soaks, crafted with certified clean, cruelty-free and fair-trade ingredients, scented with organic essential oils and colored with botanicals. Nature is the best medicine!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was always very caring, my mom told me I used to always offer to massage her sore hands as a young girl. I was the 3rd oldest out of 6 kids in my family – we all grew up in a small city in Massachusetts. I was and still am interested in nature, camping, and music (my favorite being indie)! I’ve played the flute since I was in the 5th grade! I felt I was always somewhat creative. I still find myself getting more creative in my work with massage and facials.
